Topic: Project Cafe: Mario Kart or "Nintendo" kart?

I was wondering, would people like for Cafe to have another iteration of Mario Kart, to me mario kart wii was a let down, or would you like to see a full on smash bros. style kart racer where you can race as any nintendo character? Does the idea of Samus racing Link, Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Ice Climbers, and Captain. Olimar interest you?

I'd like that a lot. Kirby riding on a Warp Star or Ness riding a special custom bicycle- that would be sweet.

Haha, yeah, exactly. i wouldn't like it with characters from multiple games.
I prefer it with only Mario characters, otherwise, it'd be like sega all-star racing. and I don't want anything like that >.>

EDIT: but i WOULD like to see a new Kirby air ride game.

I second that! I'd take Mario Kart any day as opposed to a Super Nintendo Kart game.

There are already enough Mario characters. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I agree, I know I phrased the question to seem as if I thought it was a good idea but I'd rather keep it mario universe only. the only real reason I brought up the other characters is because I'd like to have tracks in other locations. There were no stand out tracks in MKW in my eyes.

I fail to see the point. F Zero IS racing, Kirby Air Ride needs a sequel, Zelda games often have races, Metroid has speedrunning...

We just need Super Smash Kart Race.
Samus would be morph ball, Link would ride Horsee, Ice Climbers would get giant Iceburg and Olimar would be himself.

DK mountain is from double dash, and koopa cape is an alright track, I just found them all easily forgettable, maybe it's just me.

I can see it now:

Captain Falcon steps into his dummed down racer
3... 2... 1... GO!
Captain Falcon plods along slowly compared to his F-Zero counterpart
Captain Falcon effs it and goes back to future racing

Samus though? Uhm... no
Link? Nope
Kirby? Nah...
Mr. Game & Watch? Oh god no...

I don't think it would work out well to be honest. SEGA made Sonic's all-star Racing, and I don't see the point in a character (Sonic) who can outrun everything else driving a car that's 10 times slower than him... where the hell is the point in that? It'll be the same with Nintendo Racing... it would be god awful.
