That I can agree. In fact, I always wondered how Dragon Ball Z's popularity has persisted so much over the years, while Drago Ball never shared even a tenth of that popularity. Dragon Ball had tons of memorable characters, many of whom got their fair share in the spot light; lots of comedy, lots of memorable scenes, a plot that actually existed and wasn't quite as repetitive. Dragon Ball Z had some great action...and not much else.

I think because it was the most popular and thus still is the most popular.

Dragonball is much better than even the superior remake of DBZ(Kai) though

Dragon Ball gets my vote.

It wasn't always the case, but I actually prefer it to DBZ now.

oh I understand now lol . It wasn't a joke precisely, I have friends that are still crazy about the show, and conventions are always filled with fans, you have no idea.
All that diminished my taste for it through the years, I still like it of course. But there are awsome anime out there that is better imo.

Dragonball, as they always say, You can't beat the Classics. Also, The light hearted tone of the series always gets me. Claymore's good though

While i haven't seen "Claymore",Dragonball probably beats it,it's a classic and has(in my opinion) always been a great anime(not my favorite though,that spot is for Sailor Moon Stars).
