I made a story telling model about The Fox and The Bear.
The Fox, the Bear, the plants are hand drawing and edited by computer but the houses and forest background are ready to use vector images from Google image.
I randomly bought a set of watercolor brush pens on amazon, and decided to make a little sketch to test them
Iβm honestly quite happy with how it came out! Using the markers directly on the paper results in more pigment, but it then becomes hard to blend out. Applying them on a palette and then using a wet brush like they're normal paints results in more muted colors, but much better control (and you can also mix them there).
@Anti-Matter I like dioramas! That one is pretty cute
@Zuljaras Thank you! (And welcome back!) I wasnβt expecting much out of the markers because they were relatively cheap, but theyβre quite fun to use and give that retro illustration look.
@Eel
Thank you. π
Thanks for reminding me the word of diorama as I forgot the right word to mention. π
I made the diorama easy to set and easy to remove when the story telling activity is over.
I pasted the houses with some cardboard behind to make some standee and I pasted with a small paper tape on green paper during the story telling so I can remove the houses after the activity is over.
And for the crops, actually I have two different crops in the story, the Daikon and Strawberry.
I made the crops being planted on the soil that made of brown Manila paper with some paper tape under the paper so it will easy to paste and easy to remove as I have made their two different life stages: the young leaves and the mature plants.
I laminated the plants to make it stronger to stand and I use the extension of laminated plastic to make a standee that being pasted on the brown Manila paper. The laminated plastic is very stiff after being heated so I have to press with scissor when I make a fold of laminated plants.
Actually I have another two dioramas for my story telling of The Fox and The Bear, but I haven't take the pictures yet as the other two dioramas are very plain, just only a green surface with a few bushes and grass + 2 different backgrounds with one is a forest with a removable beehive and the other one is grassland with horses as background and 1 horse for the model.
I made some random pixel art for a small game Iβm making on itch.
How is it?
Pretty much inactive

Been wanting to try and get back into drawing over the next year or so as it's something I've unfortunately neglected for the past while (stressing over exams will do that to you I suppose XD) and what better way to start than by doodling a little bit of fanart for my 2023 Game of the Year! π»π»π» play Ghost Trick
