We should be seeing the report and investor briefing I'm a few days, so what do you expect to hear? Good news on sales? Bad news on sales?

Also, Nintendo has been releasing details on their plans for a QoL platform and a smartphone app at these meetings, so what do you expect to hear on those fronts?

Nintendo have announced they shipped 2.09 million 3DS consoles and 1.12 million Wii U consoles in the first 6 months of the financial year. Looks like 3DS might struggle to meet its projection of 12 million, but the Wii U definitely has a chance of reaching its 3.6 million projection considering how much of a big bump in hardware sales you get at Christmas.

Yeah, Pokemon is going to need to sell like 8 million 3DSs to hit that sales projection. I don't see that happening. Continued Smash momentum and strong Japan sales will help though.

With Smash coming out and holiday boosts, the Wii U can probably hit its projection.

Wait.. Does the new 3ds count for those sales projections?? Because if it does then there is a really high chance of them hitting that target.. With Pokemon, Yo-Kai Watch, Super Smash Bros & Monster Hunter.. those 4 are huge heavy hitters right now

Yes it counts, and with all 4 of those titles, the 3DS sold about 600k units worldwide in the first half of October.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit 5 or 6 million sales Oct-Dec, but that would still leave it short of the 12 million projection.

Pokemon will be another huge seller in terms of software but I dunno if it will give a huge hardware boost. You'd think most pokemon fans would have upgraded for last year's brand new, first time in 3D pokemon game. If that didn't make them upgrade, I don't know why they'd suddenly go crazy for a remake.

A surprising bit of news from this is Wii U software is down. Considering how well Mario Kart sold, I wasn't expecting that.

I think the Wii U will have sold higher than they expected (and we expected!). Pokemon will obviously sell truckloads, and we might see more on QOL

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

Maybe for the same reason that they went nuts for Monster Hunter 3G and 4G. There's also new hardware out this year, so many will convert for that as well, even if they already own a 3DS.

Talking just Japan here of course, but that's its biggest market anyway.

The kids who mostly buy the title are likely too young to figure out it's a remake.

Nintendo's QoL project is a sleep monitor?

I knew this would be something that does not interest me and is probably not targeted at me and I'm still disappointed. At least it's only the first part of this step but I can not see this getting any better. Or profitable for that matter but it's way too early for that.

I'm not as disappointed as I am perplexed. It's just completely out of left field.

Sleep Monitor? What do they think I am, a 10 month old baby? I don't need any device to monitor my sleep.

I'm split between a night job and daytime family obligations and my sleep schedule is a chaotic trainwreck as a result. Sounds like it might actually be good for me too, though I'm not sure I'd be inclined to listen to actually any advice the monitor would be willing to give me.

At any rate, if I bought one, I would call it Fi.

They're market is broad here, they are trying to get people like me to buy it. So, in a sense, it was made for me. Its not exclusively for people with bad thyroids, but I feel as if that's the only people who will care for this; people with medical problems anyway.

Sleep, like exercise, has a major impact on our body, and as a result, it can impact people with a wide variety of health problems as well as perfectly healthy people who just want some additional benefit in life.
