Hey... Guess who is almost on vacation (but currently doing final exams)!

Hasbro does this all of the time with their pony toys. It seems that only one side matters to them.

Also,I'm quite surprised that this wasn't posted here.

I guess painting the cutie mark on both sides would make it a few cents more expensive to produce.

That celestia looks nice, but that quote makes me suspicious.

Hasbro's main income source and the reason MLP: FiM exists: to breathe new life and advertise them.

But i know what you mean, i'd prefer buying season DVDs than toys. But hey, ponies.

Today's subject: How Hasbro likes to save money.

As we all know, Hasbro has become notorious for basically producing dozens of re-colors of the same mold over and over, under a different name. While this might seem frugal, they've actually done worse.
Originally, the standard 6 -inch brushables came with to types of hair styles, simply known as with bangs and without bangs (or, simply T-shape and I-shape).
Of course, the cost to produce the T-shape heads wasn't that high; around sixty cents or so. But, seeing as they could save themselves the time and money, they decided to disscontinue the T-shape heads in favor if the cheaper I-shaped heads.
The T-shape head was hardly used; It was only ever used on Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Cheerilee. If you were to go to a toy store today, you will find that these ponies now use the I-shape head, making them look extremely weird.
Today, those toys are considered rare, and are worth 3 times their original price on eBay (around 15 bucks).

Luckily, I have the ponies with bangs.

I kinda hate Hasbro. All they really care about is money. Sure, they helped start the show, but they aren't really the reason the show is awesome, Lauren Faust and Studio B is, and if the show didn't have ponies it would probably still be awesome (granted, I do like mah ponies and have grown very fond of the cute little things, even though I passed up the show at first for looking too "cutesy....", but I'm just trying to make a point). Sure, Hasbro hired them, but they most likely wouldn't have cared if the show was crap like most of the other stuff on the Hub, only if it got little girls into buying toys. Yeah, they'd probably sell less toys if less people liked the show, but remember that Hasbro never anticipated Bronies, and lots of little kids like crap because they don't know better.

That said, they did help make this show possible in a way, and for that I applaud them.

Unless Hasbro gives Micheal Bay a license to make a live-action MLPFiM movie, i like them.

@LeCorporal A Michael Bay pony movie? If that happened, in the movie Spike would trip over and cause a massive explosion that would destroy all of Ponyville.

@Destroyer64 yes I do not like them for being their lazy selves, but as you said they are responsible for the show in a way. Huzzah!

@Destroyer Most companies only care about the bottom line, of course Hasbro is going to do whatever will make them the most money. That being said, I really want that Derpy! It's so awesome, not only did they get her eyes right, but there are muffins on her box!

@GuardianKing I read Journey of A Pony Solider, it was a little dark for my taste, but it was certainly an interesting concept. Are you going to expand on it? I'm still curios as to what the outbreak was, and why Rainbow Dashes dad split.

I'm not making up anything... The first entry, "2010 - Single with Animal Friend" I looked for it on WalMart and "Comercial Mexicana", but neither of them had one. In fact, i went to two different WalMart stores and they had the exact same stock in both: No singles, only full (expensive) sets and "glowing wings". I pass, then. But i will continue my search. Import if necessary.

I have seen Rarity toys with just her and some accesories in Comercial Mexicana, but I guess that since I live in a diferent part of the country this information won't help you. I guess you can just keep trying.

I don't really care about the dolls themselves (I do like to see them in the stores though) but I'd love to get a small Rarity figurine to make her a keyring.

Also, I didn't knew they were cheap like that, I mean seriously, making them even less varied? Next they'll start making only racing car-shaped transformers just because.

@AlbertoC, Oh, you meant the standard single brushable. If I were you, I would just keep searching. The best thing you can do is ask when they are getting their newest shipment of merchandise. Since they're out of stock, they might get more soon.
Lucky you, I never got the Cheerilee brushable with Bangs.

Just curious, do the Rainbow Dash toys still come with a random squirrel?

@LeCorporal, if you buy the standard 6-inch brushable with saddle (though, in this case, it's a wagon.), it still comes with a random squirrel. But, if you buy the brushable with a suit case, it cones with a little white duck.
