Individuals can be distorted, meaning that the evil within has been unleashed through committing an act oneself would never dare commits otherwise. Abyssal gemstones are the crystallized remnants of evil after a person has be rewound, or restored to normal. These gemstones are what will trigger Horus' "memory lapse", allowing him to remember dark events of his past and eventually increase his dark powers. These gemstones have many purposes, and can corrupt an individual in many ways if mixed with other ingredients.

The reboot of T&D is in my signature. Notice the contrast between happy (rhyming, sorry) and sad. There isn't much, but you'll see in future chapters.

Chapter 2 will be called Tales of War. This is when the sad and dark comes in.
