The writing is overly simplistic, as is the dialogue. You hardly go in to detail, and when you do, it's not very descriptive, or important. For example, you don't need to say "...I just decided to play Jellycar 3 on my iPod Touch (must have app).", "...I just decided to watch some random YouTube poop." and the entire paragraph about playing Pokemon is pointless, as it adds nothing to the story. They are an unnecessary details. The couple of sentences of Twilight's dialogue seem very out of character for her. She would be more concerned as to why a portal to another dimension has sprung up in Equestria, as opposed to accepting it right off the bat, with hardly any questions asked. Also, the word technology doesn't refer to something that is powered by electricity, it is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. Also, if ponies don't know what your definition of technology is, then how do you explain the machine that Twilight Sparkle uses on Pinkie Pie in the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen"?
THIS ENTIRE SENTENCE: "Unfortunately, I would also have to explain the nasty stuff in our world, like war, poor people, everything being a competition with nothing as the prize, ourselves destroying our own planet, the lack of magic, the lack of good friendship and overall, the lack of happiness."
Okay, so, you obviously haven't watched "Heart's Warming Eve". Ponies weren't always sunshine and rainbows, they fought and argued. They even caused a giant ice age to happen, nearly killing everypony. How do you explain the "Iron Pony Competition" in the episode, "Fall Weather Friends"? The talent show, in the episode "The Show Stoppers"? Or the "Best Young Flyer competition" in "Sonic Rainboom"? These are clearly competitions to show off, and have no real purpose. Ponies have developed the steam engine, which is powered by coal. Coal causes pollution. Pollution destroys the world. Your argument is invalid. Not all ponies know how to use magic, most ponies wish to be left alone, and most ponies are sad.

You also contradicted yourself. Since you said that ponies don't know what humans are, yet, when you ask Twilight if Lyra obsesses over humans, she says yes.
... This other one is even worse... I can't believe it... It's so... so horrible... The writer clearly has a demented mind, writing the most disguting thing that I have ever read. Forever in Black seems tame compared to this garbage. Don't expect me to review, or post a link, for this fan fic.

Tell me what do you think. It is my first attempt at making a background for my ponies. It took me about a week to complete this, the actual vectoring took two days, and a lot less memory than usual! (I can't imagine this being more than 6GiB in size, like when i haven't got a technique...)
Also, how about a little game? Can you guess the next character i'm vectoring? It's *******!
You're using Gimp right? Nicely done, I admire the starry background. Thankfully the images when done, are not that large. The largest one I've ever made is a bit over a megabyte.
