Bronies are leaving!?
[youtube:cLyxmD_UAK4]

But on a more serious note, pretty much what @albc said. I'm still not quite sure what happened, but we all just need to get back to what we were doing.

And @Squiggle, if you ever do decide to come back, we'll all be ready to vomit simultaneously for you.

I guess I'm not leaving. I'm scaling things back, though, like I did. I don't get much free time. I've got a whole lot on my plate that I'd rather not have. College classes, and then I need to find work. Things are looking BAD here having no job and the economy is crap here. But, I choose to spend some of what little time I have here. So, for this to erupt tonight apparently completely out of the blue and due to trolling, I was ticked. And still am. I've had bad experiences with people. I'm basically an anti-social recluse and misanthrope, so it doesn't take much of something like this before I hit the road. But, I enjoy posting here and like everypony, so I'll still pop in from time to time.

I think one of the appeals for the show to me and many others is how positive it is. This is such a cynical, cold, negative world, as is much of what's on TV. So to see something like this with such a positive, cheerful, happy message that's funny in a GOOD way is really uplifting. Things like tonight just bring me right back down to Earth and remind me of how lousy things really are.

Oh, Twilight, I didn't really have anything to do, so I got started on some of tomorrow's stuff. After all, I am your number one assistant! The only number one assistant.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

So, I finally got to see today's episode, crazy that Derpy got some lines, and that was a good episode.

I'm pretty okay.

I'd like to say something in regards to what happened.

First, I know absolutely zilch what happened.

Second, it seems we had some people in here picking a fight with fans, and that's certainly no way to have fun on the internet or with a show you genuinely love. I'd like to say that people like those who were causing trouble are the bottom feeders of the net who are more interested in getting a rise out of people and are generally unhappy themselves.

I don't know if what was said had anything to do with anyone being MLP:FIM fans, but if it is, that seems REALLY petty on their part. So an unsuspecting fanbase likes a show originally made for girls. Big whoop. Demographics get breached all the time and nobody turns around. As a society, we need to break the perceptions of what is socially acceptable and it's the ignorant like haters like that who want to keep us trapped in the stone age.

If it was personally attacks in general, then it speaks just as badly of the guilty party involved. Even worse, that means they picked a random thread and made an attack at random because they were petty.

I like to think all of us bronies here and who have been here are better than any troll looking for a flame war could ever hope or dream to be. We are who we are and we are proud of it. We're not desperate and judgmental. The last thing we should be is ashamed because some random hatemonger says we should be ashamed of who we are and what we like.

I'm MasterGraveheart. I'm socially awkward, I often, yes, derp with the words I write on a whim, and I like, no, love a TV show aimed at little girls. As sad as it may sound to some naysayers, it's sometimes the highlight of my day, especially when things have been really lousy, especially in a modernly cynical society. If anyone has a problem with that, then their real problem is with themselves.

I encourage everyone who wants to participate in this thread to do so and not let one bad night with, as @Aqueous called them, a couple parasprites You have no reason to be ashamed about watching, loving, and yes, living, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. So, if any of you guys who have considered leaving are reading this, don't let the bullies win. Nothing is wrong with your tastes because you are unique and that's something to be proud of. Trolls are conformers afraid of individuality. You should be proud of who you are.

I hope to see you guys soon. I know I'll be around.

@FluttershyGuy: A happy world isn't a delusion. Far from it. It's something that can be strived for and achieved. Cynicism and sorrow are things that are blotches on a beautiful world that we can let ourselves wallow in if we let it get to us. My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic IS a testament to that. As Twilight Sparkle said. Sometimes you just need to choose to believe and sometimes it takes a friend to show you the way.

@CorporalPegasus: Parasprite was what Aquoeus used to describe the trolls who evidently came in and flamed on.

I need to say this to SquiggieTail, though. From what I gather, following this incident, you decided that you were tired of the show. Now, you say you were planning on leaving the show from the get go. If that was honest, then, sorry to hear that, but I can accept it. If it was a feeling you got because of what happened, then it's an unnecessary sentiment you have and shouldn't use what happened here tonight/last night as a sudden mind changer.

Let me close out for everyone by saying one of my absolute most favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss: "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." That is the 100% truth if you've ever heard it from mortal lips. Or, in this case, text.

Don't worry about what happened, suffice it to say that several pages of posts needed deletion. The situation was resolved by TBD. Everypony should just move along and put it in the past.

Now then, this week's episode was awesome! Despite it being Apple Jack-focused, it really was more of a full-on Mane 6 episode, and finally some great Fluttershy-ness. And you knew right from the get-go the episode was going to rock when it not only featured Derpy in the first few minutes, but specifically named Derpy, and gave Derpy a fairly significant speaking role! Now that's fan service!

Okay....well first: thanks TBD, for taking out the abdorable trash!

Second, i just don't get whats there to hate. We are are just a bunch of guy and gals watching a show for little girls. There are some bronies that troll with pony-memes, but they aren't here on NLife. And there is no war. Bronies will never take over this site. Neither will trolls. Its a Nintendo fan site. And apperently people who like Nintendo also like MLP:FiM.

Third: We have to move on. @Squiggletail left and will be missed, but hey, thats no reason to stop being a brony.
...i feel wise now.

Let's remember why we're in this crazy ride called brony-dom. To have fun. While I will miss those who leave such as @SquiggleTail, I can't let my disappointment bring down the thread. So, onto the episode.

I was absolutely thrilled and it seems to be challenging Lesson Zero for best episode of the series, which I like, being an Applejack-centered episode. One thing I'm confused about, though, is why fans are saying Applejack lied. Ummm... when did she lie? She never once told anypony something that wasn't the truth. Yes, she guised the whole picture, but she never said something like "I won the rodeo" or "I don't like you ponies so I'm leaving" or anything like that. If they're talking about her saying nothing was the matter, I still challenge that because to Applejack, it probably wasn't a big deal that she'd get the money elsewhere... she was just ashamed she let Ponyville down after so much build-up. Something I can actually relate to and probably helps solidify Applejack even further to being my absolute favorite pony.

Speaking of, Derpy! She finally got her name in the show and, more shockingly, she got a VOICE. Very much loved it. In fact, dare I say, it was just about exactly as I expected it to happen. I kind of expected her voice to have that kind of... twang to it, but I wouldn't call it a derogatory type of voice. Actually, her voice kind of reminded me of Pip. ^^;

Next week is another Applejack episode, which, obviously, I approve of. Then it's Rainbow Dash, then its Pinkie Pie. So, that'll be two for Twilight (Lesson Zero and Luna Eclipsed), three for Rainbow Dash (May The Best Pet Win!, The Mysterious Mare Do-Well, and Read It And Weep), Two for Rarity with one shared by Sweetie Belle (Sisterhooves Social and Sweet And Elite), Two for Pinkie Pie (Baby Cakes and A Friend In Deed), two for Applejack (The Last Roundup and Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000), one for Spike (Secret of my Excess), and even Apple Bloom had two episodes (Cutie Pox and Family Appreciation Day). I'm REALLY hopping for some Fluttershy love after A Friend In Deed.

Now, I've heard everything from 26 episodes as usual to the season being extended to thirty episodes... but at 18 episodes, that is where we stand. If every Mane 6 character gets three episodes, that means three more for Fluttershy, one more for Rarity, one more for Pinkie Pie, one more for Applejack, and one more for Twilight Sparkle. That makes for 7 more episodes. 18 + 7 = 25. This would leave the twenty-sixth episode for a Mane 6 episode.

Although, one episode is Hearts and Hooves with the Cutie Mark Crusaders getting Big Macintosh and Cheerilee together for the occasion, so who knows how they'll do the actual distributing of episodes. I'd hope for some evenness though. And, hey, if we do go past 26 episodes, all the better, right?

@NintendoFan_27: Sorry. I just sort of started typing what I was thinking. ^^;

As for the change in avatar... I felt a change of pace would be a nice momentum shift. Since Applejack is typically my favorite pony, I went with her... but I wanted to still be recognizable to the NL fanbase, so I kept Master Miler's sunglasses on her. Similar pose, similar look, cooler character. ^^;

Incidentally, this is the first new avatar I've ever had here at NintendoLife. ^^;

After this episode...i don't think a Derpy episode is unrealistic. I can think of plenty of plots.
