I'm recommending a sequel today, to one of my top five favorite stories ever: My Little Alicorn. Today on the ==Fic of The Week:== Bringing Up Blueblood by InsertAuthorHere
[On Fimfiction Slice-of-Life Complete Teen]
After the events of "My Little Alicorn," everything seemed to be back to normal...except for one pony. Prince Blueblood is now trapped as a colt, his title, possessions and birthright stripped for his crimes. Before Princess Celestia will return him to normal, however, he must prove himself by attending Magic Kindergarten. Even worse, his current situation has attracted the vengeful gaze of two ponies he has offended in the past: the Captain of the Royal Guard and the Moon Princess.
Will Blueblood rise above his past self and emerge a better pony? Or will he sink back into his old depravity, and be stuck a colt for the long term?
Blueblood may be a colt, but he is still as bad as he was in the first story, at least at the beginning. Characterization is the magic word here, with his transformation wonderfully gradual and, I must admit, endearing. More endearing so, are the reasons Celestia gave him a chance of redemption, and how the relationship between the both of them is portrayed; including all the difficulties Luna puts on it. We also have hilarious interventions by Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, who is lovely in this story and a lot of fun.
There are far too many OC colts, they are ok, but it gets confusing when they are all around, at times. Overall, the story is quite simple, but full with detail, and it gets to be very funny.

[On Fimfiction Comedy Complete Everyone]
After a budget cut, Cheerilee is replaced by a younger and stricter teacher. Cheerilee searches for a new job in Ponyville while her students deal with the new teacher. However, everything is not what it seems. Can Cheerilee use her vast knowledge to save her students and Ponyville?
Cheerilee gets fired, but is funny how she can't stop being a teacher. In every job she gets, she just can't help but to give lectures. There is a mystery brewing in the background and its all connected to her sudden unemployment but and she has to discover what's going on before it's too late.
The story is very well structured, but the ending is a bit rushed. I very much recommend it for fans of the "Lesson Zero" episode.

Rumors say there are more of him, somewhere far away. A young and supposedly gifted mage called Star Swirl, and Heartstrings, a gentle spinster. have joined him on a journey to find the rest.
This fanfic is an adaptation of the classic tale “The Last Unicorn” from Peter S. Beagle. The story follows the adventures of the last human being in Equestria, in his quest to find rest of his kind in the world of ponies.
Everything occurs in the period previous to the funding of Equestria and includes a lot of lore of the unicorn, pegasi and earth ponies lore and lifestyle previous to Hearth’s Warming Eve. The translated elements of the story are good enough to have a similar storyline to the original tale, but appropriate enough for the world of My Little Pony.
The writing contains a lot of narrative and descriptions, unfortunately, this makes a lot of scenes very confusing.

[On Fimfiction Tragedy Incomplete Teen]
This is the story of the end. This is the story of the death of Equestria. It is the story of the reign of her royal majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle of the Fading Sun.
The alicorn sisters are dead and Equestria has turned to Twilight Sparkle to guide it. However, just maintaining a dim sun a fraction as bright as her mentor's keeps the new princess near her limits.
Years have passed and Twilight Sparkle is sure of only one thing. Equestria is dying.
Sappy Twilight Sparkle es the main character of this very old MLP fan fiction, from 2012, that was recently revived by its author. What it seems to be the story of the end of Equestria after the dead of the princesses, is in fact, the story of the harshly crowned Princess Twilight's decent to madness, and maybe something even more sinister; on a delightfully slow pace. This is a sad story that you can guess is not going to end cheerfully, so the tragedy tag is, for a change, spot on.
The author is going for some kind of time traveling auto-fulfilling profecy (Note: This was conceived before: It's About Time), and the concepts are very well thought.
It can be tiresome to read Twilight's thoughts, some time self centered and obsessive, sometime worried and obsessive, and sometimes just obsessive. But the character is spot on.

Another story I finally managed to complete. It is time for more Trixie flair. Tonight on the ==Fic of The Week:== Hopes and Follies by Phaoray

Things haven’t exactly gone well for Trixie. Ever since the Alicorn Amulet incident she has seen her own fortunes shrink while Twilight's continues to soar. Now Twilight is an Alicorn and Trixie feels left behind. But Trixie has a plan; one Discord is all too willing to aid her in. For a price.
So yeah. an adventure story about Trixie going through great lenghts to win Twilight´s heart, very messed up lenghts to win Twilight´s heart. Trixie and Discord are just amazing some of the best written versions I've read.
This story really carries its Comedy and Romance tags nicely as well, and you will just love how this characters interact with each other. Also, their relationship evolve throughout the events, Twilight and Trixie, Discord and Trixie, Discord and Fluttershy, even between Trixie and Luna, although those two never really talk. And that is the magic of this story, there are things happening, even if the author doesn't point them out. This is a nice roller coaster where you root for Trixie, even though you know she is just being completely insane, because she is doing it with style.

The MLP fanart community is just insane. It's become harder for me to be impressed with even professional art nowadays yet I'm always seeing pieces that blow me away. And I'm always amazed at just how robust the fan generated content is in general spanning across so many different mediums. It's quite a feat that this show managed to attract so many creative and talented people into it's fandom.

@Twilight_Crow - The formatting for the original I think I added in the summer but didn't keep up with. I still need to go from the beginning and add it in.which prompted me to gather it and while working on that I began to form the new list which doesn't take 5 minutes to load 40 pages of details. So once I've taken the time to finish it, I'll start transferring the details the old list is missing and reformatting and you can peak at the newer one, see if it has anything you want on the old or if we should run one, the other or both. Actually when I last posted a fan fic, I used some of the new details I have on the new list. (Might do that again sometime).
The moment it is ready and up to date, I'll send along the link, or if we get a chance to chat again, which ever comes first.
I'm happy with being intouch. I'm sure we shall chat again someday.

Originally Sunset Shimmer was greedy and ambitious villain that wanted to rule Equestria. This story explores her character and relation with Princess Celestia as a mentor and mother figure (Sunset has issues). These are the events that lead to her dismiss as Celestia's student.
The author tells this story from Sunset Shimmer's point of view, so we have a good grip on the character and her motivations, at some points, perhaps, even a little too much detail.
