Yep... Miiverse has ended. i'm honestly not very sad though. it wasn't very good and it had it's flaws (AHEM*admins*AHEM) but i enjoyed interacting with users i met on miiverse so i'll say my goodbye's:
Goodbye Zac
Goodbye Zackary
Goodbye... Ed?
i didn't talk to many users...
Goodbye Miiverse!
if you'd like you can say you're goodbyes in the comments...
i might not be looking at non-existent miiverse posts...
It's not perfect by any means, but Miiverse was a great gaming community that made feel comfortable talking about games in general, which is something that Facebook, Twitter, and the like never gave me in the comfort zone department. Sure, the mods are a little stricty (as well as for some inane reason a couple of my posts were troll-reported as "spoilers", neither which show that in any shape or form), but if it wasn't for Miiverse, I probably would've stayed a wallflower forever.
Alas, good things must come to an end...Miiverse will be missed...
I only hope that archival attempt covered more than it didn't. Tried my hand at my own Following list, but didn't even get halfway through before the 404 hit. Damn, I'm gonna miss that place... Nintendo, y u no valu cultur?
Freedom is always sacrificed to faith, good hunter. Or are you truly here by choice?
I am very disappointed by Nintendo. I understand that they don't want to support Miiverse anymore but not giving Super Mario Maker a new comment function is a poor move...
Very sad day. I was posting on it last night. Had notifications this morning but couldn't check them as it had shut down. Nintendo didn't give enough notice and it wouldn't have killed them to keep it going until the end of Christmas at least. There are people still buying games that won't now get a chance to use the service.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I totally agree. This shows how much Nintendo is now focusing on Switch. However, this treatment of WiiU users doesn't convince me to buy a Switch.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE That is, Quite true, @Bunkerneath i don't really use the my nintendo points i earn so i have a decent hundred points, But i agree, @Chandlero we can live without the comment function and i'll still get mario maker if i get the chance, but... (Where was i going with this?) @19Robb92 i guess i can agree with that,
i'm gonna edit this thread to make it more fitting with the aftermath,
@Aidan7707 Sorry sarcasm doesn't really translate on a message board does it. I meant "OH NO! What am i going to do without those 30 platinum points a week, that i will never use as they are completely pointless". The "Mission" is still on the My Nintendo site.
@Bunkerneath oh... Sarcasm... Well Nevah Mind Then @bezerker99 Yeah i heard miiverse was dead since the update, But i never used miiverse till this year so why should i judge? @VisuaVocaVee a majority of the posts were just RPs and people asking for a GF/BF but when it comes to the funny posts i can agree.
also miiverse is where i learned the lines "do it for the lol's" and "oh my lol"
miiverse had alot of lol's...
@Nintendoforlife I mean they should have let it run for another while, at least until the end of the year. I doubt the running of it was costing Nintendo millions of dollars a month. Whatever about Wii U selling a couple of hundred units a week, the 3DS is still being manufactured.
