Troll detected. GBA had some really good songs for the system limitations the developers were given. Take example: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Mother 3, Guilty Gear X: Advance.
Anyway, I really liked your music choices, Joe. Super Metroid has such a great soundtrack even today. Not to mention dat Metroid Prime theme. :3

Next time I play Fusion I will have to do it with headphones because I dont remember anything memorable coming out of that little speaker. I will have to listen to the posted clip later since I am at work now and see if I missed something.
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.

My all-time favorite Metroid theme is this: [youtube:Zj5DWB5a2n8] I really do think that Super Metroid is the best one in the whole series, with perfectly laid-out maps, spot-on pacing, and the series' all-time best music. I think that most new Metroids, though fine, have a way-too fast pace. I'm still waiting for that perfect predecessor to Super Metroid, one that takes the stellar gameplay and perfectly brings it back; not the newer ones that like to add/take away/screw up too much of the established roots.

I prefer Upper Brinstar or Brinstar Overgrown with Vegetation myself though Lower Brinster (Red Soil) is quite good too. [youtube:IbcZmaus6g0]
Cant go wrong with Super Metroid anyway you slice it

please learn what a troll is
I mean, sure there were some games that did good with music but on average it is not nearly as good as DS, NES, SNES, N64, GCN, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, Genesis, Dreamcast etc. etc. Circle of the Moon's soundtrack was meh outside of the first area. The music improved for each GBA game but Dawn of Sorrow makes it obvious how weak the soundtracks were by comparison. Pokemon music got much better in gen 4 despite Ruby and Sapphire being some of my favorite GBA music. The japanese exclusive GBA versions of Phoenix Wright are often terrible compared to their DS counterparts, same with KATAM music used in Kirby: Squeak Squad. KATAM by itself had a pretty lame soundtrack by Kirby standards btw. Tales of Phantasia and especially Donkey Kong Country's soundtracks were butchered for the GBA. Super Circuit's use of Super Mario Kart music did the same yet Mario Kart DS had those same songs and they were awesome.
And Metroid Fusion just didn't live up to Super Metroid or the Prime games at all music-wise. I don't want to say it's because the limited sound because NES has plenty of great music but that's part of it.

I disagree entirely, but I'll chalk that up to musical tastes.
Troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument
I believe saying that all the music on an entire system fails is pretty provocative and will without a doubt cause a large amount of disruption and argument. Which it has.
On topic: I'm really upset that Nintendo is still paying more attention to Zelda even though Metroid's 25th has just ended. D: Ah well, at least the fans are still doing cool stuff for it.

only you cared about that, no one has disrupted anything, and it wasn't to be provocative. That was just what came to mind. I probably should have elaborated immediately afterwards, fair enough.
