@jump He's my favourite too, I love the sort of whimsical dark fairytale vibe of his era.
(In case it wasn't obvious, my previous comment was primarily a joke about the last sentence of the original post - I don't know if they wrote it that way intentionally it not, lol)
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
Matt Smith is my favorite doctor. Although, for me, Matt Smith and David Tennant are both S tier (that's not a put down of other doctors).
Ahh! I'm so ready for the new Who specials next month! I'm so psyeched we get new episodes with Tennant as the doctor. I hope this means, some day we could get some new Matt Smith episodes.
@Dogorilla I did but only after I replied and didn’t feel like editing the post since I was just using it as an opening to talk Who anyway.
There really should be a Doctor Who thread since there’s a Star Wars, Star Trek etc thread and there’s a few users who like to talk Who. If only I could be arsed to make one!
@WoomyNNYes I thought this was meant to be shown at Xmas? Must be the Disney thing so they can milk it for thanksgiving rather than the traditional Xmas day/new years eve which they normally do in the UK.
@jump It's a set of three specials for the 60th anniversary which is next month, then there's going to be a Christmas special as well which will be the 15th Doctor's first full episode.
(Maybe this could just be renamed to the Doctor Who thread)
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
I recently watched the season 13, aka the Flux story arc(six episodes) of Jodi Whitaker. It's maybe better than I remember. And watched Capaldi episodes, Deep Breath and Hell Bent.
@IceDomino The Disney+ premiere specials starting November 25 are probably a decent time to watch. I'd recommend previous seasons or doctors, but in the US, Doctor Who has gone exclusive to Disney+ and I don't think we have access to it until the debut of the new Doctor Who special on November 25.
I was royally ticked off that they took Who off of Prime, which was the only place I could watch it. I started watching it with my kids and they LOVED it. We managed to finish the Tennant era in time, but the Smith era and onwards became off limits.
I spent HOURS searching for a relatively easy way to continue watching, but to no avail. Same for Sarah Jane and Torchwood, you can't find it anywhere! Fortunately, they just reopened Who on Prime, but only up to Season 10. Ah well, at least we can continue watching.
It is insanely stupid that Disney doesn't just get the entire catalogue, so we have one spot to watch all of it. It's just stupid.
As for my fave... Smith was my first (I started watching on Netflix, which didn't have the first four seasons), then I started watching from season 1 with my kids last year, and well... Tennant and Smith are toe to toe. Not sure who my fave companion is. Obviously Amy was also my first, and she is awesome, but I always had a thing for Billie Piper growing up, and I do love Rose's storylines. So Rose it is.
@WoomyNNYes It's free and streamable in my area, but it was taken off about two or three months ago. Hadn't been able to find it since, was royally ticked off about it, but now it's back.
Only up to Season 10, unfortunately, but better than nothing.
The whole different regions have different programmes because of rights thing should be a thing of the past, honestly. What a load of nonsense.
Oof. That new special. It had some nice bits toward the end, but I don't think they're going to attract new viewers with that. (Edit: I see positive reviews for it. I guess I'm an outlier /edit)
On the plus side, the new Doctor Who title scene with the tardis animation is pretty good.
