What the hell are some people on about? Super Mario Galaxy as one of the worst games ever? I can just about understand the complaints about Mario Kart Wii, and the temple in Phantom Hourglass, but I thought this was a forum to mention some bad games-not to try and dis every highest rated game under the sun.

I'm not dissing them, i just don't like them. I guess opinion isn't a word in some peoples dictionary. (Joking)
Oh and the topic isn't "Worst games you should never play" its "Least favorite games" Favorite=opinion
Just saying.

@Mickeymac: About the Banjo-Kazooie question:

I bought it because everyone seemed to love it, and it was a platformer like Super Mario 64 and DK64, so I thought I would like it too. It was just kind of... not enjoyable? I(like you said) would rather play Mario 64 or something like that. I never got around to playing it again, because I didn't really want to.

Yeah, that about sums up my experience as well. It just wasn't as interesting or fun as I expected it to be. Though, if you have an Xbox 360, you should try the demo of Banjo-Tooie. IMO, it's infinitely more enjoyable.

Oh, yes, I forgot about Super Mario Galaxy. I did finish the game, and I guess it was alright, but it sure did seem a pain getting through it. It all seemed more like a chore to me than fun playing through the whole game.

on wiiware I'd say 3 musketears, that game was awful and so badly put together, the constant loading was a total pain.

NeoShinobi

I never liked Ninja Gaiden. I played the first two on the NES and I just didn't find them vary fun. I also thought the one on the Xbox wasn't vary good either. I also played the one on the DS and I thought it sucked.

I always prefered Shinobi. Hell, I even enjoyed the PS2 Shinobi more than any of newer Ninja Gaiden games, which I know isn't a vary popular opinion.

edit: oh yah, I should also give a nod to Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic '06 because thats when the series really hit rock bottom IMO. If anything, the games that came after (like The Secret Rings and Unleashed) were improvements, somewhat.

Shadow the Hedgehog is the absolute worst game of all time (that ive played) period

As far as games that are bad in themselves, I hate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I should probably have a worse game here, but I tend to play games at friends' houses before buying them.

As far as games that look worse from disappointment, I'd say Castlevania The Adventure: ReBirth. Blandness at it's finest!

CoD series: I don't know, I like the more outrageous guns in Halo.
Mega Man X Series: It just doesn't hold your interest like the other ones.
Super Mario Galaxy 1: It was fine, but It was far too easy and felt like a chore. The second one is miles better.

Twilight Princess - As you might can tell from my avatar/username, I'm a bid zelda fan. It stopped at Zelda: WW for me. Though ST was a good game.

Galaxy 2 - What's that? One of the best games of all time? Well, for me, I enjoyed the newness(?) of SMG1(in which I did end up getting 120 stars as mario), but it kind of wore off by SMG2, and in that game I only got 33 stars before I got tired, and quit. I guess I can agree that it is a great game, but to me, just more of the same. I might get into it again, but not as of now.

Action 52- The programming is just horrible. Active Enterprises probably stole a bunch of chimpanzees from the local zoo to program this game. Also, the music sounds like a 2 year old beating on a keyboard or whatever they used to program the music. Oh yeah, the graphics are laughable too.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006: I'm going to tell you why I hate this game...LOADING...Well for one thing it has a lot of issues...LOADING...Lots of bugs and glitches...LOADING...Followed by terrible controls...LOADING...Followed by long and abundant loading times...LOADING...Moving on!

COD MW2: Infinity Ward did a great job making this game for their target audience, Lame Brain 12 year olds with potty-mouths and way to much time on their hands. It is perfect for them because even a monkey with brain damage could win at this game because it take no thought what-so-ever.

Carnival Games: MOVING ON.

Red Steel 2: Here's my opinon I wrote on gametrailers.com spelling errors and all.
Red Steel 2 is a sequel to the first Red Steel game which was a lousy launch game for the Wii and this game doesn't do much better. First off, Red Steel 2 is a first person shooter only the catch here is you have a sword and the big catch here is that it utilizes the Wii Motion Plus accessory. It works out alright, it isn't true one to one motion and it does do a number on your arm, but it gets the job done. However, the real problem here is everything else. Lets start in the visuals department. Someone at Ubisoft apparently thought it was a good idea to make the entire game using shade of the most boring colors around, gray, brown, and yellow with a tiny bit of red which is where I suppose the name Red Steel comes from even though the enemies bleed yellow. And there is our next stop on the tour, the enemies. In this deserted wasteland you play in (more on that in a bit) the only things you'll come across are barrels, crates, and the same 3 clans of enemies over and over and over. Each clan consist of about 3 different types of models. There are some who wield swords, some with guns, and the very occasional brute solider. So there are only 3 types of enemies and 9 different models...Boring.Moving on to the game play aspect. As I mentioned before you use the Wii motion plus to swing your sword and hit the repeating enemies over and over, or if your not in the mood for any sort of excitement you may pull out your gun to play a crappy 1st person shooter. Also with your sword and uninspired gun collection comes the power ups which are very useful, but over powered. As I stated there are really only 3 classes of enemies in the game which can be beaten fairly easy at the beginning of the game with just your sword that feels like it is doing as much damage as a cardboard tube. However you soon get the ability to unlock power ups which can be acquired for a very cheap cost. These include a 360 degree spin, a move where you dash and shoot, oh, and how about a block that allows you to block any attack in the game without any limit. Yes that's right you eventually get the ability to become immortal at anytime you want making an easy game even easier. Not to mention that is one of the first Power Ups you get to. The game is a complete breeze from there on out and the only thing difficult that is left for you to do is stare at the empty, dust-filled, towns that will eventually cause you to fall asleep. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this game. If you really must have a motion controlled sword game that doesn't include Miis hitting each other with foam swords, just wait for the next Zelda installment.

Red Dead Redemption I love games that require you to keep pressing the A button Over and over in order to run. Not to mention ones that delete your save file for no reason.

Every game on DSiWare:
First 5 minutes, "WOW this is so much fun."
6 minute point...Boredom

Metroid Prime 3 I hate exploring, solving puzzles, and backtracking in first person. That is a huge head-ache creator...Which brings me to...

Portal I love sitting in white rooms with a book of brain teasers to solve. That is the real life equivalent to Portal.
Sin and Punishment 2 Death isn't fun and it is even worse when you lose everything you had when you die.
Mario Kart Wii You know there is something wrong with a game when you know you'd rather play the hand held version. Not to mention this game cheats. I also never really enjoyed the fact that even on the character select screen you can see Mario's hat is pointy around the edges.

Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks: Trains are all the fun of riding on a boat minus freedom, control, and the only things cool about riding a boat.

NSMB Wii Single Player is all right but way to short and easy. However Multiplayer mode is impossible with 3-4 people, but not because the stages are harder, but because you'll be killing each other off accidentally.

That's all I can think of for now...get back to you later with more rants.

Every Call of Duty game. Just because a game has you shooting up people does not mean it's fun. I can't believe my friends decided to drop everything Nintendo for this. It is very boring and there's too much to figure out for people who haven't played it and want to try it against their friends, who have played it so much that you're no match against them.
Oh, and every FPS that uses a control stick for aiming. It's hard to aim accurately when you're using a control stick. By the time you finally get your crossfire on your enemy, you're dead or badly injured, followed by death. If I want to play an FPS (although I usually don't, considering it's not a genre I like that much), I'll do it on Wii or PC, and not just because I don't have a 360 or PS3 lol.

I'm pretty okay.

Funnily enough I find the Wiimote horrendous for aiming. I know this because comparing Water Warfare, Onslaught and Quantum of Solace on the Wii to comparing Quantum of Solace and the various Call of Duties on the PS3 is like chalk and cheese. The PS3 games control far better.

But it's ok, I think just about everyone excuses their lack of ability by claiming "it's a bad game." I do it with just about every 3D Mario game. I sucked at Galaxy, ergo, Galaxy sucked.

You'd be surprised. Human reasoning doesn't always (see: almost never) rely on logic or any universal scale of quality. Still those reasons are their reasons, whether or not they make sense to anyone else. I know I've had my fair share of games that I hated for small reasons. In fact, most of my least favorite games I hate because of seemingly small things, yet unless those small things cease to exist, I'm not gonna stop hating those games. It's just how it works.

Speak for yourself, dude. I'm a big enough man to admit when I suck at a game. It's not the game's fault that I'm not good at it yet.

Oh, I'm much the same, I was just making an observation. For instance - I prefer Samurai Warriors to Dynasty Warriors, not for anything that is in the game itself, but I'm more interested in Japanese history than Chinese. Samurai Warriors is a better game for me simply because it takes place across a digital ocean.

My ego can't comprehend a good game that can beat me
