Everytime my son plays his Switch Lite, he hands it back to me in such a state that I'd have guessed he spent the entire time licking the screen and spreading his saliva about like he's finger painting.

Share your "kids are gross" stories here! And any remedies/cleaning methods you've developed over time. My go-to is just some isopropyl alcohol wipes, seems to do the trick for now.

@Game_n_Watch_it_pal I've seen screens of tablets after younger family members use them. So, I know what you mean. XD

Side note, to share pictures here, you can't upload them to the site. You have to host the pic somewhere and embed it or share a link to it. Disregard if you know already.

If you put a tempered glass screen protector on the switch, they are typically fingerprint resistant/hydrophobic, which makes the screen way easier to wipe clean.

@Atomic77 Ha, he's not actually licking it. Lots of Mario Maker 2 touch screen things going on, I think. But still, he washes his hands before playing every time, and it's still a smeary mess.

@WoomyNNYes Thanks for the tip! I didn't actually try to share a pic, but did it appear in some way that I had?

If my kid's Switch looks filthy, I just give it a good lick and then wipe clean with my sleeve. Nnot much point going to pro lengths when it's just gonna get filthy again so quick.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

It's so true. Basically the only thing my nephew eats is chicken fingers and honey. So invariably any surface or object he touches becomes a sticky mess. I shudder to think what would happen if he ever got his mitts on my switch haha.

Heck even as a kid myself...I never let my handhelds screens stay dirty.

That aside...keeping some electronic moist wipes isn't a bad idea either. Just a have a micro-cloth ready for the drying part.

Kids don’t kick screens.

They keep a protective layer of slime around their hands. Which then goes and grimes up everything they touch.

This should pass once they get past the larvae stage.

Bloop.
