Edit: XBOX 360 does instal the game during the download process. It doesn't bother me. If that makes you want a 360 over a PS3 go for it. I like not having to pay to play online with friends when I feel like it.
No no no that's not what I'm saying. I'm asking why the download data and install data are separate files. It just takes up too much space. It would be more efficient if the download and install data were the same thing.
All the installation is doing is installing what you just downloaded. A few kbs might be added/lost but your not gonna see a large increase.

And can you go a little faster?!
If by "issue" you mean does the 360 download and install in two seperate processes then I already told you above that the 360 does not have the same "issue" and you responded to what I said about it. Sorry the PS3 has hurt your feeling by causing you to wait a few more seconds to play a game because the install process does not add to the file size of a game, as navi said above. Do as you will tendoboy, I'm done here

I thought the install process did add to the file size cause it is separate from the download process.
Okay well tendoboy, you can either download the files one at a time, and watch as you don't have to press any buttons to install it. Or suck it up and accept that it changes nothing, other than needing a little bit of effort from you.

I honestly don't understand the problem. How the heck is having to press a button an 'issue'? Oh I get it, its the 5 seconds of installing time that's the issue. Some people sadly just aren't capable of completing either of these tasks. But whenever this happens to me, I say "C'mon! You can do this! You can do this!" and after a grueling 6,5 seconds, it was installed. True story.

Downloading a 3GB game takes a few minutes, then installing it take up more time. Some people just want to sit down and play. I don't like waiting for this stuff to install.
When I download things to my 3DS and Wii, it's quick and efficient. I don't have to install it separately, it just does it all on it's own.
