I'm interested in what the gaming habits are of other people here - how many hours a week, do you have several games on the go at once, stuff like that.
Personally, these days I manage to get in 5-10 hours of gaming a week, though generally closer to 5. I tend to play an hour or two on a couple of weeknights, and then I try to fit in several hours on the weekend. Unfortunately that's not enough to blast through games quickly, but it's better than nothing!
I used to be someone who would start one game, get distracted or hit a spot where it was slow going and then start on a fresh new game instead. This has led to me owning literally hundreds of games, few of which I've actually finished. These days I'm trying to rectify that by making myself concentrate on one game at a time. If I get frustrated with it I'll put it aside (it helps that I don't play in huge blocks of time too) and come back to it later when I'm feeling more motivated. It's been quite successful so far and I've already finished off a few games - it's a nice feeling to actually be getting my money's worth from these games I've paid for!
What are your gaming habits?
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
I'd try to come up with a witty comment based on the title, but I haven't had breakfast yet, so...
I play games between 1 and 10 hours a day, depending on what I'm doing that day and how addicting the game is. I've been having a lot of 10 hour days lately. This is balanced out by the fact that I never play games for a full week.
I usually play one game until I get bored of it. Sometimes that takes an hour. Sometimes that takes weeks. It all depends on the game.
I never concentrate on beating a game. If the game is no longer fun, then there's no longer any point in playing it. If it gave me any amount of joy, then it was a worthy purchase. Sometimes I'll stop playing a game before the end so I know I'll always have more to come back to someday. I don't want a good game to end sometimes.
I tend to have a couple of games (PC mostly) that I play from time to time. Apart from those I play usually one game at a time until I start to get bored of it. Basically if I dont have a new game (new in the last week) then I'll just play my backups which are the games that continue to be enjoyable after a long time. I'll occasionally get back into a game to replay it from the start if it was a good experience and enough time has passed. Time spent gaming can be anywhere from 0-6 hours a day - unless I have a new game, at which point I probably spend up to 8 hours on it...these times apply only to weekends or holidays of course. :3
I play about 20 to 30 hours a week between console games and PC games. Usually I have several games at once that I bounce back and forth too. Like right now I am playing Castlevania PoR, Warioland, and NSMB2 on the 3DS and Secret of Mana on the Wii VC. Secret of Mana right now I play with my son so we play about an hour a day before his bed time and the other games on the 3DS I usually play for an hour or two after he goes to sleep when I am laying in bed trying to relax. The only game I usual play on a regular basis is World of Warcraft which I try to play abut four hours a day or so but most of the time I dont get the chance but thats mostly due to the guild I am in and the friends I have made there.
SInce I have so little game time I do have a huge backlog mainly cause when I see a good game or a game I want on sale for a good price I pick it up.

@Mickeymac: How do you get that much time? Are you at school or studying?
I would play more but I tend to find that, with a full-time job, by the time I get home, have dinner and get a chance to sit down and relax it's usually 7:30 or 8:00. I try to squeeze in an hour or so of gaming if I can, but I try to be in bed by 10:30 so it doesn't leave me with a whole heap of time (especially since my wife would be understandably upset if I just plugged in my headphones and didn't talk to her all night!)
EDIT: Also, I tend to do a fair bit of research before I buy a game so I find I like most of the games I've bought. If I lose interest for a bit, it's generally because the game's pacing is a bit off for a while or if I've just had a bad day and can't be bothered playing. Usually trying again later helps. If a game is genuinely uninteresting to me I don't force myself to play for hours to get through it - by forcing myself to play I'm really just trying to stop myself from putting a game away after hitting a minor roadblock.
I get 1-2 hours of console gaming in a day (if I'm actually playing something.
For handhelds, it depends. If it's something I'm really into, I'm off and on throughout the day. If I have nothing new, I'll only get an hour or so in (just doing quick matches of arcade style games, like Kirby's Block Ball).

I don't get nearly what I want but it's hard with work and life happening. Get maybe 3-5 hours a week and that comes mostly on my days off but it's being cut back due to football season coming again. As soon as hockey and basketball get here it may only be an hour or 2.

I tend to play when i'm chilling in my room or at a friend's house. Ironically not much on an online multiplayer fan, only street fighter 4. I have a Tournament Edition FIghtstick and I mostly use Vega. yeah that's pretty much it.
