Topic: Has this ever happened to you?

O.K so I recently bought a used game and a while into it I noticed that the names of some kingdoms was inconsistent. Sometimes I got the european names and the North American names at other times. Then halfway into the game I realized that I was in fact, playing the cut-down PAL version. So tomorrow I going to have to exchange it for preferably the proper American version.

Am I a unique case or has this sort of thing happened before?

Was it the GBA game? There are a lot of pirated GBA carts out there, and sometimes they make their way into the retail used-game market.

Yes it was a GBA game. Did any of the carts have Eliwood, Hector, Lyn and Ninian on the front cover?
