With all the indie games and other 21st century games which were inspired by games from the 80s and 90s, I'm positive that there's a big enough audience that's enough to justify stores like GameStop selling older games. Plus, with many of today's games going digital, there's bound to be less newer games being physically sold in stores, making room for older games.

I have this feeling that since the trade in value will probably be low i dont think nes n64 SNES consoles will be common at gamestops really . Honestly i think people will just go back to ebay to sell there consoles if the value for trading in a old game console is low at gamestop.
I hope this goes well and older games and accessories aren't too expensive. I would love to get another official Super Nintendo Controller. I only have one left because my brothers lost my other one. Did they say if they will sell stuff on their online store? Because I have a feeling that if they make this a nation wide thing that the stores in my area will miss out because their stores are so small and cannot hold the extra stock.
Great I can get consoles and games that are better than now
glad I have a n64 console and games now all I need is a snes and nes console and my console. COLLECTION will be Completed
Good. If i get one more person that comes in looking for a ps2....grabs a stapler
On a personal note I hope that there is a chance they start making gamestop branded retro controllers... gamestop still sells gamestop branded ps2 controllers. I want another snes controller but id rather that i'd know where its been. I've taken in some scary trades before.

I have a bunch of NES and SNES game sitting in my room, but my NES has been taken apart (because I wanted to figure out why the pulse generator channels weren't working), and I'm missing the power adapter for my SNES (which also has the plastic cylinder broken in the power port). Now for the questions we all want to know......
What is their buy price, and what is their sell price?

Pretty much this and Gamestop trying to cash in on the retro gaming crazy. I truthfully hopes this is a disaster from them and causes them to go outta business, yeah I am not to fond of Gamestop.

There's still locally owned game stores? You wouldn't know it where I live, the big retail stores (Gamestop, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Toys R Us) dominate the game market where I live.

Around here there are. They specialize in retro games, which why I kind of feel like this could be targeting them.

I don't think it's that so much so as Gamestop just trying to get into the retro game market. If you look at it they are already in the current gen and mobile game market, retro gaming would be the next logical thing they could get into.

...except this is currently announced to be online-only. Unless eBay, Amazon, and Craig's List suddenly count as Mom & Pop stores, I think your local hole in the ground is safe for the time being.

Same here. There doesn't seem to be any local way of getting anything retro around here

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
