@Zuljaras Sorry for the slow response. I see Mario Lover92 has given an answer already, might just be worth saying that yes, I have Mega Man 11 physically, and my Switch shows it as version 1.0.1, which is the latest version of the software. My research tells me the 0.1 update is only 12mb. There's also 10mb of dlc for the game, which I think is music. Neither the update nor the dlc are on the game card as far as I know.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
Layton Brothers: Mystery Room (Android) - A spinoff game in the Professor Layton franchise, and one worth anyone's time if they like Hershel Layton's universe, murder mysteries, and deductive reasoning. This is the first non-port mobile title I've actually spent money on, and that was after playing through the free available content first. Hershel is mentioned but never seen though. Instead, the game is played from the perspective of newly minted Detective Constable Lucy Baker. She's assigned to the "Mystery Room", which handles Scotland Yard's most brain-bending cases. The office is headed by Inspector Alfendi Layton, the son of the titular professor. Alfendi is very intelligent and possesses excellent deductive reasoning skills, but he harbors a secret. The character portraits and drawn backgrounds have aged well. The isometric crime scenes...not so much. Very much a mobile game from 2013. I've been told the cases share some similarities to the Ace Attorney series.
While the mainline Layton games are better, especially for those who prefer true puzzles, it's fairly easy to recommend this spinoff to anyone who's into murder mysteries or wants more games in the Layton-verse. The first three case files (the prologue/Case 000 and Cases 001/002) are free, so players can decide if they want to sink the remaining $5 USD on the rest.
Cereza and the Lost Demon. I really liked it. The art style was awesome and the story made me feel like I was actually living it out. The gameplay was just perfect for it. I will admit the criticism of it being more on the easy side but it didn't bother me too much. I do enjoy challenge in games but nothing crazy. I'll also admit the map system in this game SUCKS. Very, very confusing at times. Seriously there's areas on maps you can ONLY access from an entirely different map with no hint/clue to discover that. My gaming time is limited so after no more than 20-30 minutes of frustrating navigation I had to Google it. And even online guides were confusing (they openly admitted it was too LOL). Other than all that I had a blast in the game.
Onimusha: Warlords. Saw it on a real good sale so I picked it up because I heard this one was an old school gem from the PS2 era. I remember knowing it existed back in the day but I was tied up with so many other games. This one was real good. I had to learn though you can't just hack and slash every enemy. The harder ones you need to block and move around some otherwise you get wrecked.
This fire is burning and it's out of control. It's not a problem you can stop it's Rock and Roll!!!
Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom. In the next few days, something exciting might be delivered to me, so I thought I would like to beat the game first. I do not feel like I am done with the game. 50,52 % done, so there is much left to do.
What a game. I love it and I like it more than Breath Of The Wild. This is propably one of the best games ever. I do not think negatively of Breath Of The Wild anymore, thanks to this game.
It was so awesome when I could save Zelda. Making it gameplay instead of a cutscene was a great decision.
I am so happy, I decided to give Tears Of The Kingdom a chance.
Metroid: Dread - was at the final boss and died a few times, I played/started around a week before TOTK. When I checked if the game came in my mailbox I stopped playing it.
Picked it up 4 days ago and beat the boss.
Would recommend it, it plays so smooth, fights are awesome and looks great.
I beat red dead redemption. First time playing it, and I really enjoyed it. I can honestly say John Marsten is one of my favorite video game characters ever. Now I'm wondering if I should play the nightmare dlc for Halloween.
Yokai Watch 4. I played the whole game with the help of a text document. It was a pretty fun game, but I still prefer 3 due to the sheer amount of content that game had.
Next game to beat: Sea of Stars.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope. I like this game. The artstyle and music is good. Especially the last part of the game was cool. Many weird and likeable characters.
Finished the DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope. It was nice to play as Rayman. Definitely a useful character and he is still very cool. I read the secret message too.
Starfield
I enjoyed this just as much as Skyrim or Fallout. Played through all the faction quests, which were good. The story is an interesting take on the multiverse, the actions-and-consequences therein. Was it worth buying an XSX for? Yes. I feel that it is.
Trouble Witches Final: Episode 1 - Daughters of Amalgam
Pleasantly surprised. The pixel art of the characters over 3D backgrounds, running at a smooth framerate even during a screen full of bullets, this game is nice to look at. I like the currency system of purchasing your bombs, lives, and extending the duration of your witch ability. Dare I say that this is best cute'em up I've ever played?
Switch Physical Collection - 1,536 games (as of December 14th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
I just finished Sea of Stars. Absolutely one of my favorite games of the year. It's damn near 10/10 for me. Just a few minor gripes like no real map, quest log, or ability to flee.
Other than that, they nailed everything from the entire party leveling up even if they aren't active, not being charged a turn for swapping characters, showing the amount of moves until turns for you and enemies, etc.
The story was great, the characters were lovable, graphics( or art direction if you will) were beautiful, and combat was fun the entire way through.
Even with those minor cons, I'd give this a 9.5. I thoroughly recommend to anyone who has GP on xbox, or full price on switch. Sabotage did it again.
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. The game can be really fun but also really frustrating. Got an A rank in the first and an S rank in the second campaign. To be honest, I am happy I am done with this game.
I beat Doom 2. I'm not sure how much I have to say about it. I kinda knew going into this that it was practically just a level pack. Just the first Doom with some minor additions and new levels. That's exactly what it is. But despite that, I kinda liked it more than the first game.
A lot of that is because the difficulty curve made more sense. The first game has a fairly natural level progression until the extra fourth set of levels which are...complete nonsense without a lot of use of save states. This game doesn't feel as absurd, but it does get more challenging than the first three sets of levels too. And the couple of cool additions (especially the better shotgun) and imo some more interesting level design at points makes it kind of the better game. I dunno if that's a common opinion or not.
It is funny remembering the trailers for Doom Eternal (as I've not played it yet), clearly the story set up for the two new games are supposed to reflect the first two games.
Kena Bridge Of Spirits. Not bad, if this is the studios first game, but personally I thought the game had too many frustrating passages. The tone is too saddening for my taste. I like the music and the setting is beautiful. There are some cute and heartfelt moments.
After 28 hours of playtime and nearly 2 years of it rotting away in my backlog, I finally beat Paper Mario for the very first time on NSO (the day before Kirby & The Amazing Mirror comes out at that!).
What a game man. What. A. Game.
Paper Mario is probably one of the quintessential examples of love-at-first-sight for me. I had definitely played and loved Mario RPGs prior to giving PM a go (I will sing the praises of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga till the day I die) but I don't think I've ever had one so instantly click with me on pretty much every single aspect. The aesthetic? Iconic and has stood the test of time incredibly well. The music? Super catchy and memorable with a ton of great battle themes in particular. The combat? Absolutely addictive to play and made pretty much every encounter feel memorable and insanely fun to fight. I could genuinely keep going but I think you get the point, PM is just so so good dude.
For as much as I loved it though (and I can't emphasise that enough: I LOVED it), I definitely have a couple of nitpicks. The story/plot, while perfectly fine, didn't leave too much of an impression on me compared to other RPGs I've played (this is 100% a nitpick though since it was the first in the series so I can forgive it having a more basic narrative than other Mario RPGs), I didn't find myself using items all too often in battle as it was more effective to just attack most of the time (with a few exceptions) and the late game definitely dragged compared to the early-to-mid game (which was kind of the main reason I dropped PM to begin with).
Small gripes aside though, this is hands down my favourite N64 game that I've played so far, one of my new favourite RPGs and it makes me so incredibly excited for TTYD Remake's release since it's apparently just PM64 but somehow even better.
god I cannot wait π
