yes one of the reasons why i like Uncharted and Nathan Drake is because he isn't a angsty person. He does mop around like some emo.
And this is why I find Batman to be overrated. He's a man-child, refusing to even try to deal with his emotional issues. It gets tiring after 80 years of publication. I mean, by comparison, look at Tony Stark. The Demon in a Bottle storyline was rough, but he works through it and conquers his alcoholism. He's constantly trying to improve himself as a person. He's flawed, but trying. I find that much more interesting than a 40-year old billionaire stricken with wangst.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that having your parents killed in front of you as a child would have pretty adverse effects on most people. And many writers have portrayed him in different ways. It's hard to do, but I find the most compelling Bats is one that has so much love but constantly keeps up his wall because it's the only way to keep up his persona.
I hate these topics for the very reason people putting Skyward Sword and KI:U in them. Go to Metacritic and see the overall scores and the majority loved or liked them!

Skyward Sword and Kid Icarus Uprising. Both are panned by a good amount of people but I see them as the best in their craft. Skyward Sword is THE best Zelda game in my opinion as it was perfect in every respect. The story, the music, the visual the control are all perfect and make this a very immersive experience. To me, Ocarina of Time can't even hold a candle to it. Kid Icarus Uprising is perfect in the same respect; story, music, visuals, controls (i found them to be very intuitive and easy to use) and that AMAZING dialogue. Plus there's SO much content to explore and so much to do. Both are truly underrated in my opinion. I wish these games had better praise.
I agree. Skyward Sword is my favorite Zelda, but I think a lot of the hate it gets is because there were so many external factors working against it.
ShadowFox254 - I also loved Arc Rise Fantasia, but I think a lot of the hate it gets had to do with the crappy voice acting. I thought it had great characters who weren't moping emo kids, and a neat weapon skill unlock upgrade system that gave you a reason to try out every weapon you found. The ending almost made me cry...even though I kinda saw it coming.
Centipede Infestation - I like this game! It was a budget title so some of it's shortcomings can be forgiven. Just skip the god-awful cut-scenes and you have a fun arcade shooter that stays true to the franchise and offers a lot of stages and some tricky bosses.
Bloody Roar; Primal Fury - True fighting purists don't like this game for it's button-mashy-ness and it's unbalanced roster, but this is an awesome game for messing around and blowing off steam. It looks amazing for a Gamcube game and the impacts and resulting carnage is just so satisfying.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star. I get why people hate it, and if anything I'm glad they do because they realized I was completely right about nostalgia obsession hurting the Mario series, but the game itself I found flawed but kinda endearing in its weird gameplay ideas. And honestly it did a better job of re-imagining classic Mario titles than any other game in the series, because it actually re-imagined it instead of just taking the same exact ideas in (mostly) inferior quality platformers.
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex- Although it got mixed positive reviews, many die hard fans were mad that it was no longer developed by Naughty Dog Studios, and that it was the first multi-platform release in the series. They claimed it was unoriginal and uninspired but it's a really fun game! It was next-generation Crash and I loved it, back in the golden age of 3D platforming.
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker- Since time has passed it's much more accepted, but when this first came out it was and still is my favorite 3D Legend of Zelda Game. I loved the art style and the charm, Link's expressive face showed more emotion to a previously silent character, and I loved the exploration.
The Simpsons: Road Rage- I have no idea if people like or hate this game, but my friends always called it a Crazy Taxi rip-off and thought it was stupid. The Simpsons was one of my favorite shows back then so I loved it.
Dynasty Warriors: The Series- I live in America, many here find the games in the series repetitive and dull but as a kid I use to sink hours into busting groups of soldiers wide open and smacking them around all over the place!
The only two I can think of that have quite a few people bashing them are Metroid: Other M and Sonic and the Secret Rings. Don't get me wrong, they're not going to find a place on my favorite games ever list, but I enjoyed them for what they were.
