Note: If its to early for this thread or if mods dont like it i will be more than happy for yall to remove it :3 I have been thinking recently what the Game Awards are going to look like, and I think its going to be extremely interesting this year. We have had a decent amount of games, they just all seem to not be good enough, usually not higher than an 8/10 in reviews. After 2024 i would say its a very underwhelming year to be honest. So what do yall think the nominees will be, and most importantly the winner? i personally think nintendo has a good chance this year. i think Thousand Year Door will be nominated, but i dont think it exactly has a chance at winning. Zelda Echoes of Wisdom might look sad after TOTK, but if it has a strong twenty hour campaign, which i think it might, then i think it has a good chance of winning. It looks promising, and its very anticipated, i wouldnt be surprised if it sold 5 mil in three days (zelda fans are intense!!!). also brothership looks like it could very well be a large game, so i would think that might be a nominee too. anyways thoughts?

@MontyCircus I'd be fine with anything but Erdtree winning. Not hating on Erdtree, I played this and largely enjoyed my time with it... but I would have rather seen something like Tekken 8 or LAD get a nomination instead of Erdtree.

Would love Balatro to take it...! But my money would be on Astro or Rebirth. Be good to see Astro get a win, would be a nice 'message' to the industry that there is still appetite for 3d platformers

I'm expecting a biblical snub but who knows, maybe the game awards jury has seen the light, and decided that the right games can win this time.

Wondering how the awards will go tonight. I was hoping that NL would do their own stream on here where you could chat with others because I find NL live chats super fun, but I realize there kind of isn’t a point in doing that since it sounds and looks like Nintendo won’t really have a presence in the show. I was gonna consider watching it if NL did that fun chat. Though, I will keep up with headlines! I wonder who’s gonna win.
