Topic: First Zelda game you've played?

The Ocarina of Time When I was 5.

I messed around in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Maska a few times, but Oracle of Ages was the first one I ever made progress in.

Hrm...probably Ocarina of Time, but it might have been Link to the Past. I can barely remember (I was like 5). My first distinct Zelda memory was riding around with Epona and finding the fishing hole, which I thought was the coolest thing in the universe.

I believe OoT. Not sure.

My first Zelda was the original NES gold cartridge. I still remember the commercial with the guy yelling "Zelda!" I have no idea where the game is but I still have the manual. I didn't actually beat the game until I got it on VC though.

My first was the NES gold cartridge as well. I also had Nintendo Power the mag. So I beat it a year or 2 after getting it. When they would send you the walkthrough and maps books to help you. I still have some of those books. They would also tell you the card flip game in Mario Bros 3. Nintendo Power was great before the web came along.

The original, and it is still my favorite one.

Ocarina of Time. I was four or five. I got on my cousin's file, ran up the stairs to a waiting Ganondorf, freaked out, died, and never touched it again.

The original the day it came out. Went to the store and split the cost with my brother. He never got much into it so I basically jacked the game for myself. Believe it or not, short of the box itself I have all the rest still including that fold up mini guide that came with the manual.

Geez thinking back I do believe that was 1987 -- 23 years ago. And the battery still works!

Wind Waker was my first.

Ocarina of Time, played it at the display in a Target.

First one I ever played? Ocarina of Time on the Gamecube Collector's edition. First one I ever actually got anywhere and beat the game would be Wind Waker.

So true, started off on probably the worst of the non whored out Flagship messes on the GBC. Majora was done by Aonuma who can't make a fantastic Zelda game on his own shown time and time again as the goodies since then Miyamoto took lead on instead of being hands off.
