What is your favorite game from the 80's or 90's that does NOT include a character from the Super Smash Bros. series?

That's...interesting wording. Anyways, so that leaves out Metroid, which leaves me with Okami. So that. That is my favorite series under these conditions. Thank you for giving me a chance to say that, Mr. Frog.

AHHHHHH! You're right, I just fixed that.

Anyway, that's why I asked that question. Because when I ask a quesion such as what is their favorite SNES theme, most people instantly jump for the well-known classics, so I decided to mix it up a little because i'm interested in seeing what people will say. This is *Nintendo Life after all, so obviously, people coming here have at least some interest/knowledge in Nintendo already.

Yes, because I want to see what other things people will say instead of saying the usual classics. I'm not sure how to word it better really.

I'm very sorry. I try to stem more towards older games and not have people name games from Xbox or PS2/PS3 since i'm not as familiar with those.
