After looking through some of the free samples on the Google Play store, I think I'll just save up for Godzilla Volume 1 (again, I know it's not Marvel), unless Marvel or DC puts something on sale (within my current fund range) that looks interesting. Right now Marvel has World War Hulk on sale for $3, but I don't know if I want to start there.

If you want to get into Hulk, pretty much anything written by Peter David is a good choice. IMO his run was the most consistent and strong. Greg Pak (who wrote World War Hulk) had some good stories here and there, but his better known ones, including WWH, really just boil down to "Hulk gets angry and smashes things." There's more to the character than that though. Before the Iron Man movie came out, Hulk was considered Marvel's second most popular hero after Spider-Man, and it's because he's actually more interesting when he doesn't smash.

And I think Peter David was really good at portraying him in that way. Basically, Peter David successfully did what Ang Lee didn't quite achieve in the 2003 Hulk movie, and he did it for more than 10 years.

Check out Hulk: The End if you just want to read one standalone-ish Hulk story. It's kind of non-canon, so you don't have to worry about knowing set up or context of the story. World War Hulk is good too though, if you're wanting to get into the more destructive aspect of the character. It's a follow up to the Planet Hulk storyline though, so you'd be better off starting there.

Finally saw SHIELD and yeah gloves are off this season. Aside from the lack of May it was an AMAZING ep. When the big villain showed up my jaw dropped. I doubt he will be the exact same character...but the fact that he is even in this I was blown away.

I'm so tired of these constant relauches.

Well DC only relaunches every 15-25 years or so, and marvel has never actually did a major reboot style relaunch. Instead focusing on starting a new side universe to run alongside the 616 (MC2, ultimate, new universe, 2099).

It's more look it's a new no.1 issue to go along with the 5/6 other comics with the same characters that makes me get fed up of it, ironically it done to bring new readers in and a general jumping on point but it actually puts me off them personally. I prefer hearing about a great run or storyline and then just picking up the paperback of it.

Shield was awesome last night. Had a bit of everything and a direction for the bad guys as I was wondering what Wards roll was going to be. This series has evolved a ton from the first season and feels totally different now.

Woohoo! The Ward vs May game has begun! Although I do still find Ward to be the petty "woe is me" type villain. Which makes him annoying to me but I'm going to enjoy watching him rile May up enough to kill him.

I feel like the show is finally coming into its own. Season 1 they did a lot of world building, just to have the world destroyed in Captain America 2. Season 2 they rebuilt a lot of the world. Season 3 we are starting to see what this show can be and I think it is awesome. I wish they did a little more with the portal and other world stuff, maybe show more of what Simmons was doing but they can always do that with flashbacks.

@DefHalan: I feel like Simmons is just a gear up for Secret Wars. Which they will likely either take to the big screen or at least wait until the next movie is out. Either way I'm like a kid in a candy store.

This show has been on hit fire since season 2 started. I'm guessing that the new organization hunting aliens is the precursor to the Super Human Registeration act that will be signed come Civil War.

As for simmions I think her plot line is going to be a slow burn to slowly reveal the need for the monolith and it might tie into the Inhuman plot line.

So ahead of NYCC Marvel just put out a concept poster for Daredevil season 2.

Read most of the All NEW Marvel stuff this week, going to reread before posting impressions. I like most of it though.

"Coming Soon" I count Jessica Jones as "Coming Soon" I am not expecting Daredevil for a while

Well Daredevil comes back in April so we're eight months away from season 2. There's also a chance that Matg appears in Jessica Jones as Daredevil season 2 and Jessica Jones filmed at the same location for a few days I believe.

Speaking of which Marvel put out a Jessica Jones prelude comic written by bendis. Turk and DD shows up and it really highlights the fact that the suit looks better with a brighter red.

Agents of SHIELD was awesome, as always. I'm glad Simmons is finally back.

Yeah, AoS has been awesome so far this season, i love how they're setting up so many set pieces both for the show and the MCU in general.

And last night might have been the first time i actually liked Ward. I hope they keep pushing him into more of the truly evil "Big Bad" as he reassembles Hydra into a real threat again.
