Rumors are going around that not only did Fox rush this movie out just to hold onto the rights
The last Fantastic Four movie was 8 years ago. Hardly a "rush." Besides, Fox and Marvel negotiated on the time frame anyway. Fox allowed Daredevil rights to revert back to Marvel (even though they had a movie in pre-production with Joe Cornish working on a script) in exchange to retain the Fantastic Four license.
Fox just produced a bad movie, and they have no excuse for it.
Hahahah. Fantastic Four only made 2.7 mil on opening night! XD
$2.7mil in Thursday night midnight showings. Still bad, but not "hahahah" bad. It should make over $30mil for the weekend. Probably not even make $100mil in the US when all is said and done.
It's gonna be close. Whether or not this movie manages to break even will all come down to growth in Asian and South American markets.

It only made $26 mil. It is a hahaha bad, actually. Worse than what Marvel movies make for one night. For the comparison, the original, 10 years ago, debuted with $56mil. It also opened terribly overseas. It's a huge flop, not even close to breaking even ever with all the marketing money etc.
There are too many super hero movies being crapped out by Hollywood these days and hardly any of them live up to the hype and praise they're receiving. Both the amazing spider man movies sucked, I didn't even like The Avengers, Ironman or even those captain America movies. Then again, I'm just not a big fan of super heroes in general(DBZ is my super hero to-go-to show) unless you're a batman and spiderman.
Well since you don't like super heroes, I think that helps explain why you don't like movies about them.

Yup. Every analyst kept having to revise their estimates down because it kept failing to hold up day-to-day. Now it looks poised for a massive 2nd weekend drop too. Word of mouth is toxic and overseas won't save this film at all.
It's going to lose a huge pile of money. Possibly in excess of $100mil, when you factor in distribution costs, marketing, and the theater's take of box office gross.
I expect one of two outcomes: Fox announces a deal with Disney by the end of 2016 for plans to integrate the F4 into the MCU with a soft reboot like Spider-Man, or Fox will simply quietly sweep the whole thing under the rug and come out with news of another reboot in like 5 years, pretending this whole Josh Trank debacle never happened.
I'm sure it's made up of bits of other movies, but the two things that stood out to me were 1) It marked the "tank man" of the Tiananmen Square massacre as 1981 (it took place in 1989) and 2) the guy sitting in the chair smoking (Disney recently banned smoking in all of their films targeting a PG-13 or lower rating).
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Iron Man's team is intentionally stacked because it's a Captain America movie. Iron Man's team are the antagonists, and the "bad guys" having the "heroes" outgunned is the bread and butter of every action movie ever.
@DefHalan: If you remember it is an anime first and a Marvel property second then yes they are. I have seen all and enjoyed them all in this order Xmen>Wolverine>Iron Man> Blade. Plus its madhouse...I love madhouse.
