@Eagly he didn’t direct Bright Burn, he just produced it as his brothers wrote the script.

@Rambler Bright burn? Honestly, watch it, and judge for yourself, it’s just one of those types of movies, where you might like some parts, hate others, hate the whole thing, love the whole, I personally love the concept, how it was played out was, less the stellar, but I still enjoyed it.

@Rambler I enjoyed it but it's not spectacular and I'm not in a rush to ever see it again. It wants to have it's cake and eat it too by being both a subversive superhero story and a horror movie at the same time however it doesn't really pull either off well enough to please either set of fans which holds it back. It's not based on a comic or connected to a movie universe but it does help if you know Superman as it directly twists his origin story in this.

Why is red hood and the outlaws: rebirth rated T? I can’t really find any info about this online so I figured maybe someone here would have read them.

@blindsquarel A lot of comics these days are rated T. They're pretty much PG-13 some feel like a normal PG.

I’m fine with that as long as there isn’t any f words or sexual content.( some is fine, but nothing major.)
I read the preview on google and it seems fine. I’m thinking either the red hood comics or some of the flash ones to start out.
Do you have any suggestions about some good comics to start out with?

I'd suggest (If you can find it) the new GO-BOTs comic series (the art is amazing).

The 84 Batman sequel comics are pretty good.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I’m gonna try to pick that red hood one up next week and see how I like it. Possibly tomorrow if I have time.

Kevin Conroy who is a̶r̶g̶u̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ THE definitive Batman actor has passed away.

By all accounts he seemed like a really nice guy too, I listened to a podcast where he told a story about how he volunteered after 9/11 to work in kitchen giving food to firemen and cops on the scene in New York and one of them recognized him by his voice so the fireman and bunch of other guys started taking pics with him and it was only then he realised how meaningful the role was to a lot of people.

Crushed to hear the news of Kevin Conroy's passing. For me and I am sure alot of people he was Batman. I was lucky enough to meet him a few years ago at a Con and got my copy of Arkham City for the 360 signed by him. He was a true gentleman.

Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

While I am still bitter that Nubia’s backstory got retconned, this new version is becoming my favorite DC character. I tend to only like lore rather characters in DC but I am finding a few heroes to enjoy. It is somewhat exciting! But poor Io. I couldn’t imagine going through that as an adult.

Can’t believe I missed that Brightburn discussion. To me it is probably one of the biggest wasted or missed opportunities in cinema in decades. I know that sounds dramatic, but I really do feel that way. Evil Superman isn’t an original idea, but the fact they somehow managed to make an unofficial psychopath Superman movie without DC blocking them, is a miracle. Yet they took that opportunity and made as generic and as bland of a horror movie as I could imagine. You may never get this opportunity again, why didn’t you go all out?!

Brightburn is literally Superman without the official branding. Homelander is his own character within a wider story.

It is a rollercoaster experience of you going from ‘Oh My God I can’t believe this actually exists, how much did they pay in legal costs to release this?’ To a ‘Oh my God, all that and this movie is just a load of nothing’ by the end.
