Yes, Wario Land Shake It! is very easy. Very. Easy.
Probably the best choice of the thread so far. Very under-rated title, despite its easiness.
I've never played that one, but I'd also recommend Wario Land 3. You don't have health/lives, and you can't die. You might want to check out Yoshi's Story if you haven't already.
Ah hell naw! That game is one of the hardest platformers I've ever played
Not really. Sure it is fairly hard especially if your trying to 100% it but I've had more difficulty in Donkey Kong Country 2. I haven't beat the Mirror Mode in Returns but I know that's relentless. But it's not hard by any means.

You did, however, remind me of Yoshi's Island. I completely forgot I had that game, and it might be perfect for me right now. I think I'll play that while I wait for Starfy to arrive.
Yoshi's Island can be very hard. And frustrating. Especially in the later levels. But it's one of my favorite games, so I encourage you to play it!
Just thought of both Lost Winds games. They're WiiWare games and short (4-5 hours). They're also as much adventures as platformers (hence you'll have to do exploration).
You can die, but it's difficult to do so.
I found them to be very relaxing and entertaining. Some of the most original and best looking games on the Wii, imo.
I played through Lost Winds when Wiiware was first launched. I recall being disappointed by the short length, though overall entertained. I think I'll pick up the sequel somewhere down the road. It seems like a good ending point for Wiiware - it was my first, so it shall also be my last. Of course, that means it'll have to wait until I get the last two Bit.Trips.
Is the first Wario Land easy? I have that one and I figure if I finish Yoshi's Island I could play that as well. I'll also keep Wario Land 3 and Yoshi's Story in mind.
Hey, hey, hey! I never said I suck at games! Just normal platformers. I have a problem judging distance. Been dealing with it for forever. However, I'm good at games like Metroid, Mega Man, or Castlevania, since they're lighter on platforming and enemies can be killed with a forward weapon.
NyxQuest is a wiiware title that looks good, and is fairly easy. It throws in a bit of puzzle solving, allows alternate paths at times on the side scrolling path you must take and has nice tight controls. I like it, thought I enjoyed the Lost Winds games more personally. Gameplay is a little more challenging than the Lost Winds titles, but much easier than something like DK Country.

New Super Mario Bros. was easy to beat. Unless you're trying to get all the Star Coins, you should have no trouble beating it. I also found Super Mario Land to be quite easy, too.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. However, I accidentally spoiled the ending for myself when I watched it being played on the Backloggery stream. I do have a short memory, however, so I'll likely get it someday. I just need to forget it first. I'll keep it in mind until then.

Noted, however, I should mention that from my short time playing it I found NSMBW to be fairly challenging on my own, even when I gave up trying to get the Star Coins. I could've just been off my A-game, though.
Not sure if anyone mentioned the "metroidvania" style Castlevania games, but those allow you to grind enough that they can be quite simple. Although you would probably be out of luck if you hate grinding.

IIRC, the only easy Castlevanias were SotN and Aria of Sorrow. Unfortunately I'm on the hardest part of SotN and I'm anal about completing the GBA 'Vanias in order. I do plan to play CotM at some point, though, as I'm actually better at those type of games. It's just gonna be a process.
