I don't find much bad about Kai except for the fact they changed all the music. It now feels like the Japanese version with nothing in the background half the time. Overall, i really like this version of DBZ!
I love the Dragonball franchise, especially the original. Great trilogy, although Dragonball GT was lacking a little (Still good, but I prefer the first two more).
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Do any of you remember Killa back in the Buu Saga? If you did, did you understand anything he said? It was like a bunch of jumbled words! Even when i put subtitles on in the DVD version, they showed nothing when he spoke!
I love DB/Z, GT not so much, I believe its not even considered canon anymore, I've benn watching Kai a lot recently too, but I hope they come out with a remastered series for the original Dragon Ball, since, while I love both I like the original a bit more, they could call it Dragon Ball Kai in the west and I guess Original Dragon Ball Kai in Japan.
Really? Who said it was going to be bad? If anything I expected it to be better considering the VA's had more time to practice, and Chris Sabat said it would be closer to the Manga and Japanese dub. P.S. I like the Kai opening thing more, more catchy in my opinion and captures the spirit of the show. This video sums up all my thoughts on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16OYg9JIU8s I also believe DBZK was the most watched premiere in Nicktoons history, which makes me optimistic too see more anime on TV.
@Mastersword It is the most watched premiere!? Cool! And the opening is so catchy that i can't get t out my head! @Waveboy yea, the music isn't that great, but at least it has some tunes.
I think today we go into the Frieza Saga of DBZ kai. BTW, do any of you own the game, Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure for GBA? It is really fun and to me feels like one of the greatest games on the GBA. It had so much depth and modes of play. I recommend it to any of you here.

Well the Namek Saga actually, and I do have Advanced Adventure, one of my top Dragon Ball games.

I just got my DBZ Remastered Season 4(Garlic Jr, Trunks and Android Saga) Funimation Box set in the mail, and what can I say? Color me dissapointed. Now I knew what I was getting myself into, since Funi decided to butcher the normal 4:3 picture by cutting off a large chunk off the top and bottom of the image to make it look 16:9. But I didn't realise how annoying it is, and how it ruins the experience and makes certain shots look awful, since you don't see the characters mouth or hair ect ect. What's also a let down is that Bruce Faulconer's score is only Stereo 2.1, while the Japanese score(which I can't stand) with Funi voice overs is Dolby Digital 5.1 Why did they opt for Stereo 2.1 with the Bruce faulconer score?
Then there's the PQ. At times it looks great, yet at times it looks a tad scratchy, characters look like they're foaming out of the mouth due to color bleeding at times ect ect. Most of the time it looks fantastastic.
And finally, Funi decided to add in terrible little extra voice overs which you might rarely hear which makes certain scenes just akward. Anyways.....Apperantly Funi heard the cries of many fans and released DBZ remastered Box sets in 2009 in their true 4:3 form...Which is awesome news, the downside is that they didn't include Bruce Faulconers score! ugh. They're basically the perfect sets for DBZ fans who love the original Japanese score. Maybe I'm just better off buying the older single DVD releases
Is it the one in the orange case? If so, i do believe you can change the music in the options.
@waveboy, hmmm i have no problem with the top being cut off, but i can see why you don't like it. I don't really here a difference in music too. The whole thing looks like what it was on T.V. That, or my memory is real bad cause i haven't seen the orginal DBZ on television for 5 years! Cartoonnetwork!
@adamant/turtlelink thats like saying infinite world is budokai 4.....im saying where is Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4.....not that discrace of a dbz game we call raging blast!

Isn't Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the Wii? I actually haven't played that one. I've played Budokai 1 and 2, and they were both completely mediocre. I couldn't stand Burst Limit, and I'm not a fan of the latest one either. How's Budokai 3?
Wow. I see why you don't like the games now! I liked Budokai 2 though. Budokai 3 is pretty much Infintite World or, the better version of Burst Limit. Tenkaichi 3 is the best one i have ever played.
So Tenkaichi 3 and Budokai 3 are the cream of the crop? What about the latest one? Visually it's obviously the most impressive that's for sure. And hmmm....Now I'm kind of tempted to nab myself a copy of Tenkaichi 3 for the Wii
Yep, they are. Infinite World is also good (mainly because it is similiar to B3) because it has the same gameplay as the PSP version and B3. Also i heard the online on the Wii one was really laggy. But at least is has online unlike the PS2 version.
Actually, they're all pretty terrible, "professional" reviewers were just creaming themselves over the number of characters in the Sparking games to consider how the actual gameplay was.
