For years I have downloaded things from CNET, and trusted them for safe downloads. However, lately I noticed they started trying to trick you into downloading junk, and now, even if you don't fall for it, they decide they'll download junk anyway. I just wanted to warn everyone to stay away from CNET. Here is an article with more information: http://www.groovypost.com/howto/avoid-computer-bloatware-from... I got a stupid SweetPacks toolbar installed (even though I didn't check it) and there are still files left on my computer after trying to get rid of it. I hope CNET changes back from this, but I'm pretty sure I'm never downloading from CNET ever again.
This happens to me on lots of sites, even legit ones. I freakin' hate it...always gotta go through my applications and folders whenever I download something just to make sure there's nothing that's not supposed to be there...which there is about 30% of the time...
