Seems like all technology is coming in a glossy finish... but I hate it. The finger prints, glare, smudging. It's pretty to look out, when you take it out of the box. Once you get your hands on it... no. So what about you.
I prefer the matte or just metal finish to my stuff. I would actually buy Samsung cellphones if it wasn't for the crappy cheap fell to it. HTC and Moto all the way man! Anyway that is one of my only complaints about the 3DS except for the bad launch titles. So yeah I agree to KaiserGX on this.

I prefer matte or metal finish, exactly like Emil here. It's not too bad on the 3DS, but the glossy finish, or whatever it was, on the DS Lite was horrendous, you could get finger prints on that thing so easily. Fortunately they addressed this on the DSi, but then went back to their old ways with the 3DS.
It looks stunning for about 30 minutes, after that it's just 3DSmudge.
yeah, i keep on rubbing it so its stays clean. not only its easy to make it look dirty, it accumulates dust so easily. A true dust magnet. rub it for its glossy finish, then rub the dust away, then rub the screens for fingerpprints, then rub it on your nipp... well okay, you rub it a lot.

Best way to keep it clean is spray it with some dust cleaner thingy and then rub it off, it leaves it nice and shiny and unsmudged. Only problem is, it can get scratches. >.<
