I'll check out TRG, ive heard of them before.
I tried a video or two of Grumps and couldn't get into them. I kind of just wish he'd go back to doing Sequelitis and Awesome stuff. Maybe I need to give it a second shot.
I do Let's Plays! and others vids, 5+ a week!!

I like watching people do interesting/tricky things in games, or exploiting funny bugs and the like, but just watching someone play a game? It's boring enough in real life to sit there and watch a friend play, let alone watch some random on the internet with whom you can't even interact.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

It's not necessarily about the game, it's about personality.
Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.
My favourite at the moment is PBGGameplay coab of Minecraft Hardcore. Basically it is Peanut Butter Gamer, JonTron, The Completionist and a bunch of their friends trying to slay the Enderdragon in Minecraft. But if they die, they are dead for good. No revives. They are out. Its freaking hilarious, and I highly recommend anyone to check it out, even if they don't play Minecraft.
BTW, Episode 12 is literally one of the most suspenseful things I have ever seen. No joke.
I watch Game Grumps as well, not all of it but some. I also really like NintendoCapriSun and Proton Jon a lot. I used to really like Chuggaaconroy, but recently he's been a bit boring to be honest. That being said, I love The Runaway Guys
Also, any Verses series with AttackingTucans. It may be too vulgar for some, but I don't mind it.
As long as the people playing are good comedians, and the players actually put some effort into editing and making the videos. Otherwise it's just people leeching off games made by other people - to which they dont deserve to profit from.

Hmm, that's also a problem - many of the people that I've seen do LPs are the loud, obnoxious types who I would avoid at all costs in real life, and I have no desire to sit down and listen to them.
I'm sure there are good LP makers out there, but I'm yet to come across one.

I have been making LP's for almost a year now and I really enjoy doing it! The only real difficulty for me is the language, since I am LPing in english while I am actually dutch (presenting in dutch is boring :S). People like NCS and Chuggaconroy really inspire me, but as long as I have not mastered the english language, I wont be able to make my commentary as good as theirs. I am pretty good at editing though and my english is not that bad at all. Next to that I am always trying to improve. I would love to have some feedback of course There is a link to my channel in my signature!

Reasons to watch a LP, in my experience--
1) the game is currently not available to you
2) you're watching a certain portion for tips and tricks
3) the personality of the hosts
4) as background noise/commentary (as if it was a podcast)
5) goofing around and complete eff-ups

So I finished my 2nd LP (of Luigi's Mansion) and have recently started two new ones (NSMBW and RE4 Wii.) I talked to a few people and they say that Wii interest just isn't there any more.
What do you think? Is it a system you don't have an interest in watching? What are the systems you prefer to watch LPs for?

My favorite LPers are the TRG guys, lucahjin, joshjepson, attackingtucans, and quite a bit more. Farfromsubtle and Munchingorange are other great channels.
Speaking of which, I started a new YouTube channel. Once I get a mic, there will be commentary. I'm planning on having viewer interactions such as having the viewers suggest what game or level I should play next. You should check it out and help me get started, I mean, if you want. (I believe it's okay to advertise my channel as long as the link is in my signature.)
