Fine, I didn't follow the full conversation. But thanks for being an @$$ about it. I'll be sure to take that into consideration in future conversations.

I've met 8 streetpass teams in Fire Emblem: Awakening. None of them were even slightly a challenge. I could literally beat them with a single unit. All this grinding... for what?!

@LetsGoRetro I also said that you shouldn't be desperate about it. What you pointed out was the Black and White. The ideal relationship is where both are the gray. Why would you want to be together with someone if you can't love them, and have to act uninterested?

That is what you do if you want a soulmate who actually loves you for who you are. Your "technique" also applies best to "players", which I don't think Mr. Goomba wants to be.

There's also the risk, when you're acting uninterested, that the lady will think you don't care anymore and be too shy to say anything, therefor killing the relationship completely. So you HAVE to act interested, but not desperate!

guys, the trick is to feel the flow of the situation and follow it calmly, what is meant to be will be, the crucial moments when you need to act are only the first contact and the moment you decide to ask the girl out.
the rest is just a matter of living life naturally and doing things how feel to be right.
like good old Stomatopod17 said, there are many fish in the sea(or my vesion of the phrase there are many girls in the college bus )
and remember you're not forced to only talk with one girl at a time, meet a few of them, make more friends and the right one will end showing up

You're completely misunderstanding what I'm saying, is the problem. I didn't tell him to "act uninterested" when he's with her. You're right, you don't want to be with someone and have to act uninterested. That would be the worst idea ever.

But they're not together now, and it's very obvious by his post that he is trying extremely hard to get back with her, and that she's rejecting it. This is very common. There's nothing wrong with trying but after a couple of times, you hit the breaking point. Some people go into obsessive mode, where they continuously ask and beg what they did wrong, plead to get someone back etc. It's absolutely the worst thing you can do. Once a girl makes it clear to you she wants to move on, you do not just keep asking and begging. They see it as desperate and pathetic.

I'm simply telling him to make himself appear to her as if he has moved on. If she absolutely has zero interest in him, then it doesn't matter what he does. If there is a chance, pulling away from her will make her curious and give him a chance. He's a kid with a round block trying to pound it into a square hole. It's not the right way to go about it. I'm trying to help him rethink it and realize he needs to put the round block in the round hole. If you don't agree with what I'm telling him then you're either misunderstanding, or inexperienced, as these are very basic relationship techniques. Either is okay, but I really don't want to argue about it anymore, so take care my friend!

@LetsGoRetro Oh, we are agreeing then, mostly. I just think that intentionally moving on to get someones attention is wrong. If your ex wants you back after you've moved on, your relationship probably won't work well... You should go for someone else then.

Our cable company just dropped Viacom networks (Comedy Central, TV Land, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, BET, Spike, Nicktoons, etc.)

I thought it was just going to be one of those things where they hold out on negotiation until the last second, but it actually looks like they never did.

They are apparently getting new TV stations to replace the Viacom stuff though...

FXX - Replacing Comedy Central (they already had it as part of their premium package, but now it's a basic package channel)

TVOne - Replacing BET

The Blaze - a conservative news channel (I believe it was started by that Glenn Beck guy after he got kicked out of Fox News). Not sure what it's replacing though, as Viacom didn't have a similar channel as far as I know.

Sprout - The replacement for Nickelodeon (though it looks like all preschool stuff, judging from their website).

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - Not really sure which channel this is replacing.

UP: the Uplifting Channel - Same as above.

WeTV - I'm guessing the MTV or Spike replacement.

Investigation Discovery - Like FXX, it's a formerly premium channel that's becoming basic. Not sure what It's replacing.

@RR529 Yep, it's a preschool channel. Not really a good replacement for Nickelodeon and nicktoons.

@RR529 at least investigation discovery is a pretty nice channel when there's nothing else to watch. XD

Suddenlink. I don't know how big they are (probably not Time Warner big), but I do know they operate as far east as South Carolina, and as far south as Texas (I am in Missouri. The state Suddenlink itself is based in).

EDIT: @Captain_Toad, yeah, it seems like an odd replacement, especially considering they could have just lowered the HUB, Boomerang, or Disney XD from premium to basic (like they did with FXX & WeTV).

Give it time, these things always pass. Let's not forget the DirecTV/The Weather Channel debacle. The Weather Channel eventually came back, though.

Smash 3DS was delivered today but during a time I was not in the house (courier delivery) so instead of a day early I'm getting it a day late.

Mine was too...and I don't have the foggiest idea why. :/ I wasn't thinking of anything in particular. Nothing in particular happened before that, either...

I actually had to run a few places to get my copy.. gamestop sold out before the day of release.. LOL They started selling early and were out of stock. Then they had a midnight release ontop of that.

My favorite Idol group got new members today and I've been up all night (and morning) anticipating the announcement. None of the girls I liked got in and to make matters worse, the current members themselves don't even seem happy about the new additions. If THEY were at least excited, I could warm up more but now I'm even more worry and disappointed (on top of being so tired that I can't even think of going to class today). Ugh, I really wish I slept through this.

I'm not getting Smash 3DS for 1 or 2 weeks..
I ordered an eShop card from Play-Asia and they were out of stock. Man, I really wanted to get it this weekend... I wanna cry.
