Our cable company just dropped Viacom networks (Comedy Central, TV Land, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, BET, Spike, Nicktoons, etc.)
I thought it was just going to be one of those things where they hold out on negotiation until the last second, but it actually looks like they never did.
They are apparently getting new TV stations to replace the Viacom stuff though...
FXX - Replacing Comedy Central (they already had it as part of their premium package, but now it's a basic package channel)
TVOne - Replacing BET
The Blaze - a conservative news channel (I believe it was started by that Glenn Beck guy after he got kicked out of Fox News). Not sure what it's replacing though, as Viacom didn't have a similar channel as far as I know.
Sprout - The replacement for Nickelodeon (though it looks like all preschool stuff, judging from their website).
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - Not really sure which channel this is replacing.
UP: the Uplifting Channel - Same as above.
WeTV - I'm guessing the MTV or Spike replacement.
Investigation Discovery - Like FXX, it's a formerly premium channel that's becoming basic. Not sure what It's replacing.
Ouch, that's harsh. I agree with the above poster on this being the reason I don't have Cable/Satellite. You get the Blaze (Republican mouth piece) and FXX (more Republican mouth piece) to replace Comedy Central (Colbert, Stewart, South Park, etc.) and Nickelodeon (Avatar/Korra). That's entirely the worst trade I've ever seen O_O.
It's so bad I also consider it my disappointment of the day just hearing that it happened to you T_T.
What's a bit disappointing is that I couldn't get the chance to play Smash on Friday or the weekend. The reason is its at my mom's house, but I'm at my dad's right now. So Monday would definitely be worth the wait.

As for FXX, it's not too bad of a channel (they marathon The Simpsons every weekday, and show some decent movies like the 2009 Star Trek & some of the Marvel movies). FNC is their conservative news network, BTW, not FXX.
As for the Blaze, oh my goodness, it's just as bad as trying to watch MSNBC, just on the opposite side of the crazy, lol. (when it comes to cable news networks, I prefer to watch a bit of CNN & FNC, and let their biases cancel each other out, and they're not as extreme as their Blaze & MSNBC counterparts)
I do miss my South Park & Colbert though...

That's definitely nothing to be disappointed about.
Anyways, a World Transfer to Hyperion in FF14 will cost me almost $20...ouch...I knew I should've waited a few days until Hyperion was available to make my character...oh well...maybe I'll stick to Exodus until the post game? If I ever make it that far without getting bored....

Cut my hand open at work and we didn't have any bandages... so I sat in the staff-bathroom for 20 minutes trying to stop the bleeding. I must have hit a vein or something because it wouldn't stop....

Eventually I got it to stop. I only had a half hour left in my shift, so I toughed it out. came home and took care of it. I think it'll be okay. It looks better now that I got it cleaned up.

today is being the near perfect day when almost everything goes excelent and whatever that happens that's not perfect is still pretty good, but for no reason at all I can't help but feeling down......
