I just got my platinum reward in the mail yesterday. It's the figurine that has the whole Super Mario gang on it, coolest reward I've seen yet. It came in a yellow box with question marks on it, and included a thank you note for helping Nintendo 'put smiles on gamers faces' by taking part in the surveys. If you didn't know already, by registering your products at https://club.nintendo.com/ and filling out surveys, you get coins that can be redeemed for goodies. You can also get a special yearly reward without using any of your coins. Anyhoo, the point of this post is, as small a thing as it is, it means a lot, and adds a personal touch. These things cost money to produce, and the cost of shipping to the members... It's just really refreshing when I can't turn my other systems on without being bombarded with advertisements. I think Microsoft would charge me for turning my 360 on if they could. Now that I think about it, shouldn't being subjected to all those commercials entitle me to free live? I mean, that's how commercial radio and television works, right? All I'm saying is it's nice to be appreciated once in a while. And I, er, appreciate being appreciated.

Keep expectations in check guys, this is NOA Club Nintendo we are talking about. We know how they love to give out 3D Classics Kid Icarus or Urban Champion.

Sadly, it's true. I have around a 1000 coins that have been sitting there for nine months while I wait for something worthwhile to drop in...no luck yet T_T. I wish they'd release SOMETHING awesome like the Zelda WW or Wonderful 101 T-shirts they got in Japan. A free amiibo or something Bayonetta 2 related would be awesome too...but I know it's just going to be two things: something good I already have (Super Mario World) or something medocre that I don't want...

Heh, I'm expecting Kirby's dreamland 3 to be a WiiU reward if were going by kirby's superstar and dream course wiiu rewards.

Club Nintendo's coin prices are all over the place. One time, they had Paper Mario, a 2000, 24 hour RPG for 250 coins. Then they had Donkey Kong Jr, a watered down port of a 1982 arcade game for 200 coins.

I have fond memories of Kirby's Pinball - I remember enjoying it much more than what the NL review suggests would be possible.
Great use of Club Nintendo to get it for free and find out how accurate that old nostalgia is.

Kirby's Pinball is actually good, as is Starship Defense.

I remember wanting Kirby's Pinball back in the day, but I just can't see playing it when I've got the Zen tables, and I feel like 150 coins is too much for an old GB game when they offer SNES games for 200. I'll get Tokyo Crash Mobs, because I kind of wanted it but it's $7.49 on the Canadian eShop, so at least it's a better value buying it with coins, and it's rare to get an actual 3DS game offered up.

Yeah, it won't compare to Zen for realism, but Kirby's Pinball is fun in its own right.

Tokyo Crash Mobs sucks. I thought it looked funny, but the joke gets old after like five minutes, and the gameplay doesn't hold up.
