Topic: Can You Only Use Your Club Nintendo Coins once?

I'm confused about the club nintendo coins. So, if I register my games and wii u and I have 200 coins, can I only spend them once? Or can you get every game that is under 200 coins?

And how long can you keep the game? Forever? Are does the game (say Yoshi's Island) stay on the Wii U for about a month then goes away?

So, if I have 200 coins, should I wait and get the game I really want? And not buy a game for 200 coins if I don';t like it? Or do your coins never go away and you can keep using them?

Coins disappear when they are used. Whatever you spend those coins on you have permanently. Downloaded games are not a rental.

Coins also go away if they aren't used within two "Club Nintendo years". You can find out if any of yours will expire here: https://club.nintendo.com/account.do

A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.

ok, thanks for the clarification. I thought I had read somewhere it said coins never go away, and that is what confused me.

So, I guess I'm doing the right thing then, waiting for the right virtual console game to spend my coins on.

The extra benefit of the coins is that they count for the Elite Gold/Platinum rewards that are announced every new Nintendo Year, on July 1st. 300 for Gold reward and 600 for Platinum reward.

So let's say you earned and spent those 200 coins on a game. You got a game, and those coins count towards the Elite rewards. So if you earn another 100 coins before June 30th, you will be able to get the Gold reward, even if your current balance is only 100 coins.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Have you ever flashed a dollar at a hot dog salesman, stuck it into your pocket, taken your hotdog, and then walked off?
