Just out of idle interest. If you are, what position are you/what do you do?

I'm in my finishing year of secondary school, and of course, I must by now have started considering career options. I'm looking into a job in this particular industry, as it does indeed interest me. I've been looking at a few areas that seem fitting for where my interest lies, and it does seem that this career could be benefitial and enjoyable to me.

I'm a game programmer working on my own projects at the moment.

Well there are many different positions involved in game development including programmers, musicians, sound engineers, artists, producers and designers. They're all very different and require different skills and interests. What area are you thinking of?

I'm still learning programming with Python, but once I get the hang of it I plan on making an RPG. Every single aspect of it will be made by me so I don't have to rely on others, and no time restraints ftw!

Yup, I'm familiar with the different areas - I've been thinking more the art/design area so far. It's practically the best thing I can do - drawing and designing. It isn't very hard for me to come up all creative. I can minor in programming though (it's also an interest) - helps a lot in casting a solid job hold for yourself. These two come handy in animation, if you catch my drift. So, I'm considering options.
