For anyone watching, or thinking of watching, Gokukoku no Brynhildr I have bad news for you - they butchered the ending. Worse, they cut out 30 some chapters worth of content. Lynn Okamoto's other work, Elfen Lied, suffered a similar fate as well.
Just finishing reading Fist of the North Star Jagi Gaiden. We get to know more about Jagi's past when he was training with his brothers: Raioh, Toki, and Kenshiro with their master Ryuken on becoming the 64th successor of Hokuto Shinken. And it was really interesting (if that is the right word for this) on seeing him becoming a coldhearted-jealous-psychopath being in the future. But still, I have little to no sympathy for him, even when he showed some redeemable qualities when he was a kid, but he decides to **** everything up. The only characters you should feel anything for...is master Ryuken and Anna, who is apparently Jagi's main love interest when they were kids. Jagi is a perfect example of someone who had the potential to be great, but lost his way due to angry and jealousy.

In other words, tons of people will be forced the read the manga now. Sounds like mission: success.

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Can't say I didn't see that coming
Yeah, most anime shows have the "read the manga" kind of approach. I don't know why people would find that annoying.
And so the second season of Love Live! School Idol Project has finally ended. I thought the anime was fun and really well done; great job Sunrise. Btw, in case anyone's interested, there's a free rhythm game based on the franchise for iOS and Android mobile devices. In addition, a new movie was announced at the end of the last episode to commemorate it's fifth anniversary. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/06/29/love-live-an...
Please note that this is just fan art and not the actual concept for the movie.
I wonder if CanisWolfred is able to recognize all of the mechas present.
GM Powered
Burning Gundam (AKA God Gundam)
GM Striker II
Nobel Gundam
Kampfer
Hyaku Shiki
Gerbera Tetra
RX-78GP02 Gundam "I am not spelling that"
Psycho Gundam
Half of them are on my bookshelf. Only had to look up the Gerbera Tetra for spelling and the Psycho Gundam because I keep confusing its name with the Destroy Gundam...I hate when different series recycle plot points down to a T...
The only mecha I could distinguish was Burning Gundam, but only because of the shining hand.
Honestly, the only Gundam series I've ever seen was Mobile Suit Gundam 00. I remember watching it on the Sci-Fi channel during their "Ani-Monday" nights after they finished running Gurren Lagann. I think those were the two series that got me into anime again.
Speaking of Mecha, I'm happy that there are actually 2 new series coming out that look like they'll have some mecha designs I really like, at least from a visual standpoint. I haven't seen a TV Mecha series that had designs I generally liked since 2005. Sure most series managed to make their mechs work, but usually I find them to be visually confusing and/or ugly.
Last good ones I saw were from Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid.
I'm hoping those are the main mechs, but this has me worried.
I guess I should be more concerned about the story, but still, it's nice to have a show where the machines look cool, and not like this, or this, or this, or this, this, this and this. But especially this.
...seriously, half of them don't even look like machines to me...
I still have to watch that episode, but body manipulation through aura has already been displayed several times. To high-level Hunters and even Killua, its said to be a fairly simple process. Granted, Gon doing it without having even been told how to do it (?) is stupid, but no more so than Goku learning the Kamehameha wave on his first try, or Luffy learning how to do the Second Gear after watching a giant frog doing some sumo moves...it's an obligatory "shounen minute mastery" that practically every shounen series has. Even Naruto, although they got that out of the way at the beginning and didn't seem to use it ever again without some kind of halfway-decent explanation.
Has anyone had heard of Doraemon? I was going to watched the subbed version, before I go watched the anime, I wanted to know if the Anime is great or decent. (Disney is dubbing Doraemon as far I know, I'll doubt this dub would be good though.)
Just feel like sharing the song and anime. Warning: The show is very dark and serious with lots of blood, gore, and suggestive themes.
Is about an immortal woman named Rin Asougi, she became immortal when she was infected by what was called the Time Fruit (Women are the only ones who can become immortal from the Time Fruit) from the Tree of Life Yggdrasil. She also most defend herself against "angels" (men who were infected by the Time Fruit and are strongly arouse by the women who are infected by the Time Fruit), and the eternal being Apos, the main antagonist of the series. Apos is obsess on sacrificing Rin to the Tree of Life Yggdrasil.
So I finally got around to finishing Cowboy Bebop, and without talking about spoilers too much, I feel the whole ending was pretty 'okay'. Something about Spike's backstory never interested me in the first place and I didn't like how they ended the show with it. Still, I guess it was a strong ending even if it wasn't how I would have liked it to be.
Now I'll watch the Cowboy Bebop movie, but I'm a little bit concerned, as I've heard that it's fairly boring...
Hey, just finished two pretty great anime, Death Note and Black Lagoon. I preferred Black Lagoon, tbh, mainly because Second Barrage was so awesome. Also, it had a good ending, unlike Death Note. The whole last arc of DN kinda sucked, I mean it was tense and all, but Near is super undeveloped and I didn't really care that much about what was happening. Anyway, Black Lagoon was just interesting from the beginning to the end, and didn't take itself too seriously, except for one arc, which made it seem a lot more enjoyable. Overall, I would still recommend both of them, even though Black Lagoon will seem pretty off-putting at times.
