Yeah, Tekkaman Blade was probably my favorite character in that game. As for the actual series, I watched the first 10 or so episodes on YouTube (that's all they had), as well as the entirety of the OVA sequel.
BTW, anyone know of any current season series that are deeply rooted in Japanese history and/or mythology, besides Kyokai no Rinne (which I'm already watching)?
Also, I've started watching Dirty Pair Flash, which has been decent so far. It's a futuristic buddy cop anime from the 90's, where the two leads don't seem to care for each other that much, but they always manage to get the job done (even if it results in the destruction of a something large each episide, like a city block, cruiseliner, etc.). Up through episode 4 so far.

Only Gintama as far as I can tell, but here's the chart, so you can see for yourself. There is a movie coming out next month you might like, though.

Thanks for the list. My 3DS isn't loading it properly, but I'll be sure to check it out on my tablet later.

As for TV series, while there isn't any traditionally Japanese stuff (other than Kyokai no Rinne), there were a few things that caught my eye. A couple of western fantasy series (Arslan Senki & Dungeon Ni Naei...) as well as an action series called Triage X (though it may have captured my attention for the wrong reasons, lol). Also, though I'll have to catch up on them from past seasons, I'll look into Knights of Sidonia & Ghost in the Shell: Arise as well.
As for films, there's Saresuberi (probably spelled that wrong), which looks interesting, and is probably what you're talking about? Of course, there's Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F as well.
Haven't had the chance to look at the OVA section, though.

Read the final chapter of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F!
Naturally, it ends as Frieza is about to reveal his new form, acompanied by the message to see it in theaters.
Also, I've seen up through episode seven of Dirty Pair Flash. I was worried there for a minute because the video wouldn't load up (even after clearing my cache, refreshing the page, and it was doing this on every site I tried), but upon returning to the original site, I noticed a button that said to "press here if video doesn't load", and that seemed to work for some reason (not sure what it did). So back on for now, I suppose.
Also, the crew of Man at Arms: Reforged on YouTube forged Tessaiga from InuYasha! I was almost certain they were never going to get around to it, considering all the blades there are in popular culture, the fact that the series isn't as in vogue as it's been in the past, and the fact that they started to forge their own unique weapons as well awhile back, but I was ecstatic to see it! (maybe the addition of TFA to Toonami spurred the viewership's interest enough to request it)

Been looking forward to it, though the main beast's character design is disturbingly familiar. I'm not too familiar with Kemono, though, so maybe it's a coincidence...
Japanese consumers need to stop paying $1/minute for anime so that the rest of us chumps don't have to decide between half a month's rent and a bluray box set.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Gohan & Krillin being forced to just sit back as Frieza is being a complete d*** to the Namekians. Some Namekian warriors show up and lay the smackdown to most of Frieza's goons, but their luck's not going to be the same against their next opponents.
Kill la Kill - Katy bar the door because we have ourselves a real slobberknocker! Monster Ryuko VS the surprising murderer VS nail gun guy VS Lady Satsuki (or as I call her, sword Kikyo). Luckily (though not surprisigly) the brawl is stopped through the power of friendship, but I have a feeling this will be a brief respite.
Sword Art Online II - Kirito gets the cold shoulder once he reveals his true identity to Sinon, though he wins his first bout in the tournament. Also, he meets "Death Gun" who seems to know very well who he is (Okay, so he has a "Beam Saber", and is at odds with a villain mostly dressed in black who breaths heavily while wearing a mask, who has a past connection with him...). Whatever the case our villain seems to have something to do with that group of player killers in SAO.
InuYasha: The Final Act - Sesshomaru is able to smite the dark will of the jewel with Tenseiga, while the main group manages to bust up Naraku pretty badly (thanks in large part to a brave move by Kohaku), resulting in him retreating yet again. Pretty par for the course... or not!? As it turns out the dark will lives on inside Rin (it hid part of itself in her during it's attack on the village), while Naraku pulls a Majin Buu and manipulating a piece of discarded flesh, steals Kohaku's jewel shard, finally completing the jewel. The good news? Kikyo's light decided to stay inside of Kohaku, preserving his life. The bad news? The completion of the jewel didn't purify Naraku as planned, and he can now use it to become full demon. The next phase of the final battle begins next week! (Oh, and apparently Sesshomaru can fly).
Naruto Shippuden - Sora chooses sides with the big bad, and after escaping after a brawl with some of the Leaf guys, returns later during a power outage to bring the pain.
One Piece - Sanji just kickin' it with the wolf. He's not nearly as gullible as Usopp, and easily looks past the wolf's "special attack", and though things looked bad for him twords the end, he revealed a new technique that had a bit more spice than the wolf could handle.
Also, they had a new show montage, though somewhat disappointing, as I think this marks the first time where a couple of shows were actually excluded from it (InuYasha: The Final Act & One Piece neither got a single clip included).

Watched a few episodes Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Episode 16 was hyper fast, I could barely keep up with it. Also rewatched episode 1 to refresh my memory on the beginning. Sadly, I can no longer find the original movie I never watched. It doesn't seem to have been super important, but It's possible you miss some character introductions without it, since they seem to casually reference a bunch of stuff that you never see...
Finally watching the first episode of Slam Dunk. Opening is fantastic (love the way it shows the love and determination for the sport), not to mention our main protagonist, Hanamichi Sakuragi, reasoning for joining the Basketball team was to impress a girl. But later on the series will the love the sport and will have amazing teammates/friends. I'm definitely going to like Slam Dunk's more realistic approach of Basketball than the one from Kuroko's Basketball.
Is it bad if I say I'm not into Puella Magi Madoka Magica? I always here all of this praise about the series, but when I watched the first few episodes, I just couldn't get into it.
Never go into any show with expectations. It will never meet them.
On the show itself, it's a little on the serious end. Your favorite anime/manga (judging from your sig) all have a fairly significant comedic side to them. Shows like Evangelion, Bokurano, Fate/Zero, From the New World, and Madoka all demand the viewer's full attention, and require knowledge of genre/anime tropes in order to understand how they proceed to break them all in twisted ways.
EDIT: To those who haven't heard of Bokurano: the anime butchered the ending and cut a couple of fantastic fights, so if you think the plot sounds interesting, read the manga instead.

That twist the end of Episode 3 did nothing for you?
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
So, I'm not sure whether or not I'm the only one around here still watching Toonami, but what 5 shows would you like to see on it. For me:
5. Magi: Labyrinth of Magic - I honestly don't know much about this series, other than the fact that it's loosely based on the tales of the 1001 Arabian Nights, but I think that alone is enough to pique my interest (I don't know of many anime/manga that tackle this theme).
4. Dragon Ball Super - Only so low because we don't really know much about it at this point. As far as we know it may be a lightheated comedy without much action (If the case I'll probably be sure to get around to it eventually, but it probably wouldn't be a good fit for the block). Probably has a good chance making it, regardless of what it ends up being.
3. Ghost in the Shell Arise - The first two GitS anime aired on AS, so it's not inconceivable, and I enjoyed those enough to be interested.
2. Gundam 00 - To be honest any newer Gundam would do, but as I don't know if there are any newer TV series in the franchise than this, I listed it. Point being any Gundam would be a good fit, and with it's long history on the original Toonami, I'm surprised they haven't aired even one yet.
1. Eureka 7 AO - I loved Eureka 7 (which was shown on the revived Toonami), so I'm just itching to see this. I'm not sure how well the original did though, as I think it's time slot got pushed back once or twice during it's run, which I don't think was a good sign.
NOTE: I'd enjoy Rinne as well, but from what I've read & watched, I don't think it'd be a good fit for the block. It's much tamer than almost any other anime I've watched (outside of children's stuff like Pokémon), and certainly tamer than any other Rumiko Takahashi series I've experienced, and while I kind of find it charming & refreshing because of that, It just wouldn't mesh well with the more "adult" nature of Adult Swim. There is action, but it's a secondary part of the series that's more comedic than violent (without any blood), and it stays clear of the more risque humor I've seen in anime (the first, and only, instances of very, very mild fanservice didn't happen until around chapter 100).
