Any recommendations for Anime that is on Netflix and in English?
English as in Dubbed? I'll be right back, I just gotta look. Manga Entertainment and Funimation are the only ones putting their stuff on Netflix (well, possibly a few other smaller guys, too) last I checked, but since you have to pay to see the dubbed stuff on Funi's site now (well, actually, you can still watch a few dubbed episodes, but you'll be bumped to Hulu, so what's the point?), that actually makes recommendations easier. I'll be back in 10 minutes or so with a quick list.
Knights of Sidonia Gurren Lagann Samurai Shamploo FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood Death Note Eureka Seven Fairy Tail (You'll have to switch to subbed after episode 48, though)
Those are the ones where I've seen the dub a good amount through and wholely recommend.
There are 6 I'll need to check the dubs of, though. I'll get back to you on those by tomorrow, since I'd need to watch the first episodes of each...

I watched all those except Death Note and Eureka Seven which I couldn't get into. I also enjoyed FMA more than Brotherhood. I have already watched SAO, Devil is a Part Timer, and Ghost Hunt as well. I also have Hulu Plus and been trying to watch One Piece I just keep catching up with everything dubbed and have to wait a while until they upload Season 1 dubs.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Hmm, some favorites of mine on there not mentioned yet include: Hunter x Hunter 2011, Trigun, Fate/Zero, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, and Madoka Magica. I also hear great things about Eden of the East which is on there.
@Caniswolfred I can see what you mean, but they both have similar feelings of adventure, and awesome scope. One Piece's theme is more reminiscent of triumph though, while Pokemon's brings to mind the heat of battle. I'm thinking of Luffy returning with Pell after seemingly being killed by Croc just as Vivi was losing all hope, or whenever Luffy makes it over a seemingly impossible barrier, defying the odds, and bringing optimism back to a desperate situation. Still, these themes, possibly others, have constantly reminded me of my old love of Pokemon. They're both quite different, but in effect both are long-running, action-adventure children's animated shows. I suppose they both resonate with me, as they are some of the things I've been the biggest fans of over the years. I digress, I just saw or feel a connection between the two that might be hard to describe to others, but those two themes really remind me of each other for some reason.
Anime watching: Mobile Suit Gundam, Lupin III, & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable

speaking of One Piece's music, I never realized this until it was pointed out to me, but some of the music has this very 80s synth thing going on. It's a very random choice, but it works out quite well. Even a lot of the other music would fit well in some 80s adventure movie or the like...

Trigun and Eden weren't available when I checked. Madoka has a terrible dub. Hunter X Hunter is sub only. Magi has a terrible dub (I just checked). Fate/Zero's dub is pretty iffy, too. The other 20 or so shows currently available are terrible. I'm glad my brother is paying for Netflix, because if it was my money, I'd cancel my subscription and go to Crunchyroll and Funimation, and wait for a deal on the DVDs of the 4 or 5 series I'm interested in that aren't on those sites...

That's too bad, I actually love the OP dub. When I started watching the show the early dub episodes were on there, but of course there was some lapse at the time. (Making me briefly resort to less official sources unfortunately, before getting back to Hulu) It's a bit annoying honestly, but the dub is really good. I still watch OP dubbed stuff from time to time, I'd definitely recommend it.

Oh he was only looking for english dubbed stuff? Heheh...whoops. Sorry. :/ And about that error, I haven't had Netflix since Fall so they've probably taken some stuff off since then. Sorreh for my kinda inaccurate and irrelevant suggestions then. Still, Hunter x Hunter 2011 is easily one of, if not my favorite anime. (In fact, I might just say that it is. Though OP is clearly my favorite manga) And I can't recommend it enough.

I personally loved Evangelion, it's still one of my favorites. That said, I can see why the ending would have pissed off some people.
On an unrelated note...
Ever since I began watching One Piece in early 2013, I remember getting a weird "Pokémon" vibe from it. I know this sounds strange, but I absolutely adored the Pokémon anime at different points in my life, early childhood and all that. Like, the atmosphere, music, etc made me think of Pokémon. Well, while searching through both show's OSTs, I think I've nailed the two tracks that I felt sounded similar.
and
The part where the main chorus/theme/whatever kicks in sounds kinda similar, doesn't it?
Not to mention both are shows that I've been more than a little obsessed with a various points in my life ^_^
The parts you refer to are probably from 0:04 - 0:34(One Piece) and 0:14 - 0:44(Pokemon)
These 2 themes have quite a bit in common, so I'm not at all surprised you find them familiar.
Let me show you what I mean. (as far as I'm able without actual scores)
Both of the themes are in 4/4 metre, with both having the same rhythmic pattern with accents on 1,2 and(4) (the first two being quite crucial). The Pokemon theme variates 2 times with these "triplets" which sounds quite characteristic. But overall the rhythm stays the same. The tempo of the piece is also more or less the same, so this also helps make it sound more similar.
Now this is where it really gets interesting.(and harder to explain)
Both themes precede the "Theme" with 2 bars of just outlining the rhythm and harmony.(introduction)
Both themes are 8-bar phrases, which makes the "feel" of both themes very similar. Again, both of the themes have the same structure, tempo and underlying rhythm. And because the tempo is the same, they both last for 30 seconds(the theme), which is only logical.
Both begin the melodie on the 1st beat, and have these "long" notes on the 3rd beat on which they insist(these are actually the same tones of their respective chords, hence they sound the same) and both end the first "sentence" on the 1st beat of the 3rd bar, which again is quite a long note on which they insist.(again, same tone of their respective chords.) I'm trying not to get to much into detail, but my point is that if you would write both these themes down and put them above each other, they would align for the most(important)part.
Both Themes repeat the 8-bar phrase and add more instruments to it. In the repeat, both have an instrument that doubles the melody by playing it an octave higher. It's a typical way of introducing a theme really, it's quite classical.
The instrumentation is quite different though. Although they both have brass instruments to play the melody, not that much is the same. The Pokemon theme actually has a real drum and an electric base, instead of the more typical orchestra sound from One piece. The drum and base also emphasise the beat more in the pokemon theme. Which make it sounds a lot more groovy.
While I'm writing this down, I start to think, what the heck am I writing this down for? Anyway, I guess I just wanted to point out that there's nothing wrong with your ear (...I think I just ruined my sleep by inviting all of this music into my head...)

He says as he marathons The Devil is A Part-Timer and Knights of Sidonia on Netflix...
^It really is. If you take it an arc or two at a time, with good-sized breaks in between, I'd definitely say it's worth watching, even if you're so far behind. If you can get into it, it's near-endless entertainment.
Here again because i need some more recommendations.
So, what do I like?
I have no idea. -_-
So, what better, more pointless way to attempt to demonstrate my tastes than by listing the measly list of anime I have watched and my opinions.
Death Note — Good start, mediocre at the chairman, terrible at N. Ending was ok, though. 5/10
Attack on Titan — Great action and music, mediocre characters and plot, and the worst pacing I have ever seen. 4/10
Zankyo no Terror — Good beginning, way, way, too many plot holes. Terrible ending. 3/10
Shin Sekai Yori — Great pacing, sense of style. Involving story, all around great. Except for ep. 8. 9/10
Parasyte: The Maxim (through ep 20, latest) — Excellent. Weaker start, great buildup. 8/10
idk if you can give me anything from this, but it's be nice.
At least I won't start an argument about whether Melancholy of Haruhi Shimomura is the best or worst anime ever here.....

I think it's pretty clear where your interests lie considering all your choices. The first couple ones that come to mind after reading that are:
Elfin Lied
Future Diary
Higurashi: When they Cried
Monster
Psycho-Pass
Code Geass
Literally just the stuff that popped into my head. I'm not a fan of most of those shows, but then again, I didn't like any of the shows you listed except Death Note...

Considering that these are the only two you rated favourably, I would suggest Monster, Another, and the Kara no Kyoukai film series, which admittedly does require some patience.
Oh, and watch Steins;Gate if you haven't yet. Everyone should.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
