So after a little break I started watching Conan again, and it was awesome. Somewhere around ep. 128 or so, It seems they suddenly felt like speeding up the plot x10, and making sure that's even possible they released an episode with the lenght of an actual movie. Like, it just came out of nowhere and it was great.
I do have to find a better place to watch some of these episodes, because it often lacks actual translations of things you see on screen and names.
Just caught up with ZKC.... and Kugutsu got one hell of a make-over!
Okay, ZKC officially now has both the smexy guys and beautiful ladies only. Takashi, you know how to treat your fans right.
Also, just watch the first 8 episodes of City Hunter and it's outstanding so far. Opening is pure 80s at it's finest City Hunter - Don't Disappear My Love. Not to mention I finally now have my top 3 favorite perverts of anime!

Yeah, that's what I love about it. Conan is really good at doing a "less is more" storytelling, so whenever anything happens, it grabs your attention. And when something super important happens, it's incredibly compelling. I feel a lot of long running series would be better if they could do stuff like this instead of running out of material for episodes or having the plot jump the shark via being stretched out for forever. (though occasionally later parts of the series fall into this admittedly)
Oh, I read the newest chapter of Bleach a few days ago.
The fight between Ywach & Jubei continues!
Previously, Jubei wiped out Ywach's powers by covering him with his Zanpakuto's black ink (which blacks out the "name" of whatever it covers). Now, Jubei called forth white ink, that would allow him to write a new "name" upon anything he has blacked out (he pointed out that his Zanpakuto's white ink technique was the first development of an "evolved" Zanpakuto ability, which at a later point in time, the concept of Bankai was derived from).
Jubei then gave Ywach the "name" of Black Ant (thus, rendering his strength to such), and proceded to crush Ywach with a powerful barrage of attacks...
...With a bright flash, Ywach suddenly appeared back in the fight, and with a laugh, ran Jubei through with his blade in a surprise attack. Apparently Ywach's power is that of "A" (Almighty), which allowes him to forsee & immunize his body from any damage he will ever take, years before it actually happens.

Watched quite a bit of anime during my break. Saw half of Problem Children (will finish it soon enough, it was more filler to me), 3 episodes of Ben-To (also filler), finished off Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (utterly fantastic. Can't believe I had forgotten to finish it last year), got caught up with World Trigger (Starting to see the pacing problems Tyson mentioned, though it has been very interesting thus far despite that), tried out Laughing Under The Clouds (seems interesting, but not a priority) and GARO (Not what I expected, might hold off on that for a good while), watched 10 episodes of Log Horizon (took a while to get into but now I'm loving it, can't wait to watch more!), and I watched episodes 136-145 of Hunter X Hunter (which has once again amazed me).
I'm gonna try to finish up HxH and Problem Children soon so I can focus on Log Horizon. Then I might pick up something else (I have a long list) and get caught up with Rage of Bahamut: Genesis. Gotta get caught up with Gundam, too.
Dragon Ball Z: Broly, the Legendary Super Sayain - A thoroughly fun time. Man has the animation started to show it's age, though (some things were very stiff, it seemed).
Akira - This is the third year in a row I've watched this, and it's still just as good. It's amazing how good it looks considering it's over 25 years old, and the action is great. Still not sure what's going on there at the end though, lol.
Also, they showed promos for Evangelion 1.11 & Evangelion 2.22, both of which are airing next Saturday.

Started watching One Piece again. I just finished the Captain Kiro part. Useop is so annoying I can't believe he joined the crew, he may have strong resolve, but he's weak and can't do anything but use a sling shot. I wish he had died right now, I really don't want him in the show anymore. His lies are horrid. Not to mention his nose drives me crazy. He is so freaking badonkey and awesome. Probably one of the coolest characters on the show so far. He's definitally a real pirate. He's super smart, a great villian, and has an awesome fighting style. Not to mention I like his style regarding cats. He should get his own side-show. I think he'd make for a great protaginist. I know it'll never happen, but I want it lol.

Usopp gets a lot better as the series progresses. By the time you get to the Grand Line you'll probably like him, if you don't like him by the end of Arlong Park.

Usopp is definitely one of my favourite characters and he is an invaluable part of the One Piece experience! I would almost go as far by saying that if in the end you don't like him as a character, you're watching One Piece for the wrong reasons. Oh and if Kuro is the kind of "cool" enemy you prefer, you're bound to be disappointed later on with some very uncool awesome enemy characters.

The fight between Ywach & Jubei reaches it's conclusion!
As mentioned before, Ywach has undid all the damage done to him by revealing his power of the "Almighty", which he explains now lets him instantly understand all that he sees, and what he understands can't hurt him.
Jubei retaliates by trapping Ywach in a kido technique so powerful that it has to steal 100 nights away from Soul Society's future in order to work (so powerful, that Ywach's soul would never even get to reincarnate), but Ywach simply shrugged off the attack, and with the wave of his hand, Jubei is ripped limb from limb. Ywach then procedes to the chamber of the Soul King.
Ichigo's gang arrives on the battlefield to find all five members of the Zero Division dead. Ichigo hears a voice in his head telling him to call out Jubei's name, and when he does, Jubei comes back to life!
When asked how he came back to life, Jubei says that one's power comes from their name, and he was able to absorb enough energy from Ichigo to revive himself once Ichigo called out to him (perhaps poking a little fun at itself, even Ichigo called that a bulls*** ability).
While his body was restored, his powers were not, so he implored Ichigo to stop Ywach, as he is the last one who can do it. The group then sets off.
Meanwhile, Ywach comes face to face with the Soul King (who from what we can see, looks like a humanoid figure inside of a crystal). Ywach appears to stab the Soul King, mentioning that this is as exactly as how he predicted the outcome, "father" (insinuating he is the Soul King's son).

Well, first cour of Fate/Stay night is over. There was a special hour long episode to finish off the first half of the season.
Kind of a disappointing episode too, really. I figured the double episode length was going to leave some room for major events, but in the 47 minutes of show time, one major thing happened and the rest of the episode was mostly padding. The previous episode was almost entirely dialogue, so there should have been some payoff here, but there wasn't really. Will have to wait for April now for the payoff. That "major event" was super serious business though. Not a lot of action, but a lot of feels. Things are going to get real. It's going to pick up in spring with a four way fight and at least one major death, so that should be something to look forward to.
13 out of 25 episodes down, and so far 6 of the 7 Servants are still alive. Probably means a very action packed 2nd cour.
Nothing to watch now except 4 new Monogatari episodes airing on New Year's Eve. Time to dig into the backlog I guess!
