@MarcelRguez Not to sound antagonistic, but in the case of Fallout 4, what logic would need to be dumbed down in order for it to work on Switch?

That's what I was thinking as well. To be honest, I thought AC would be announced soon after they announced Pocket Camp, but apparently that's not the case. I can't imagine they'd wait past this year to announce it, though. AC is a big money maker, and with the whole passage of time mechanic in the games, it's something they'd want to release pretty early on.

Based on the idea that both Smash and Pokemon are due before the end of the year, combined with the fact that Animal Crossing is better released early on due to the time mechanics, I think that a release in the first half of 2019 would be perfect for it. Like a May or June release

@MarcelRguez Fair enough. My reasoning was that Bethesda had released Skyrim, DOOM and Wolfenstein 2 on Switch, and that the next possible game could be Fallout 4, but who knows.

Pokemon isn't due this year.

Anyway, Bethesda Software could port Dishonored 2 since it's not open world. But depending how Wolfenstein II will sell, they might be done for now. From what numbers are out there Doom didn't sell nearly as much on Switch as it did on either of the other platforms.

I wonder what the attach rate for Doom for Switch is. Sure, it most likely sold much less than the other platforms, but I wonder how much players actually got the game percentage wise compared to other platforms.

@MarcelRguez I already own it on PS4, I'm just thinking that it would be easier to run than Fallout. And all the other Elder Scrolls and Fallout games could certainly use a remaster beyond the extent of Skyrim: Special Edition. It would be super cool if Blue Point's new project was Oblivion, Morrowind, or Fallout 3.

@YummyHappyPills I can't prove the absence of something. Pokemon Switch has no announced release window, claiming otherwise is what carries the burden of proof.

For Doom there are no hard numbers, but there are widespread indications of sales under 500 thou:

@ThanosReXXX Lol nah, this isn't some "I hate microsoft" nonsense, I'm at work and don't have the time or patience to watch a bunch of linked videos to random youtubers. I'd much rather have it written down where I don't have to put up with that. So you don't gotta write em' down, they're just not interesting enough for me to watch 20+ minutes of them.

@MisterPi Well, to each their own, I guess. But they're not all about Microsoft, though. I posted videos about all three consoles, and none of them are particularly long.

I can understand not wanting to watch them at work, I don't do that either, but once in the comfort of my own home, I actually enjoy watching those videos. A lot more so than just reading boring lists...

As for "random YouTubers": they aren't. The clips are all from the more well-known posters. Spawn Wave is even one of the fastest growing game channels around.

Spawn Wave is fantastic. His News Wave is really good and his Tech Wave videos are great too.

SpawnCast every Saturdays is also really good.

Yeah I enjoy spawn wave as well he lives not to far from me! Super Metal Dave on the other hand, stopped listening to him after he was soooooo wrong about the Switch specs/announcement. Glad he's still making content though!

@redd214 Yeah, he was pretty sour back then, but SMD64 has changed his ways for the better, and like Spawn Wave, he does have a tech/IT background, so where it concerns hardware and its possibilities, he does know what he's talking about.

i wonder if they will do a Smash Bros E3 2018 theme. like they did for Super Mario Maker back in E3 2015.

@ThanosReXXX Although I disagree with SMD64 most of the time, I do actually like his channel because you can tell it's his own take. He may sound a bit Sony fanboy sometimes but you can tell he loves Nintendo. Spawn wave,for me, is just yet another Youtuber that sits on their arse and regurgitates the internet's news while asking for support on patreon. It's weird folk like Drtre81 doesn't have more subs. He's down to Earth and like SMD64 brings his own take to the table.

@GrailUK Really? I actually completely dislike Doctre81 (which is putting it VERY mildly), and I'm not surprised he hasn't got more subs at all. He comes across as haughty, anti-social and a bit too over-confident. Smug, if you like. Don't like some of his offensive language usage either, regardless of whether or not it's kinda warranted, such as with the whole blackb0nd situation.

He's clearly not a people person, whereas Spawn Wave is the complete opposite: likeable, knowledgeable, humble, and contrary to what you say, he does a lot of his own research. And of course he mentions news when there's news to tell, but so does every other YouTuber bringing game news, and so does every gaming website.

They all have their sources or simply "regurgitate" what has already been mentioned on other sites, but that doesn't mean that it's a bad thing or that they can't offer the same news in their own way, and the same goes for YouTubers. And a lot of people only watch those channels or only visit certain websites, so for them (and for some of us), it's probably quite handy that they can find all this news on their favorite site or channel, without having to dig through the entire internet to find it...
