@ThanosReXXX Whatever it is had a lead writer whom recently revealed in a tweet that he had left Retro (presumably because the project was nearing the end) and they took on a musician who's background is in doing Western style games such as Deus Ex and Thief. Think he was also involved in Skyrim in some way regarding sound design. Plus there was that resume update think via LinkedIn so it sounds like the project is definitely one that will be revealed sooner rather than later. I hope.

Here is my Dream list for E3: I want a full blowout of classic games for the online service, Metroid Prime HD, a Mario and Luigi game, A new F-Zero, a Mother 3 remake, a new Paper Mario,Odyssey DLC, figure out what the heck Retro is doing, Diamond and Pearl remakes, Portal 3, and a new Startropics. For Smash, I want to know about a bunch of returning characters and 3 or 4 newcomers, one of them being Captain Toad and another being Shovel Knight. 90% of that has no chance of happening, but hey, that’s why it’s a dream list.
Just a geek that likes video games, and spends to much time playing Smash Bros. and Fortnite.

Part of me always forgets that Retro is developing a game seperate from that Nowhereseville Metroid Prime sequel. I guess that’ll be this year?
And Bethesda has one leaked shooter that’s the type of game that could fit on Switch. They’re talking up their presser this year, I’m really excited for whatever their titular studio have been working on. I remember them being pretty clear that they’d probably do open world games still, probably just with a different IP.
No dream list is complete without a new f zero gx or pikmin 4 for me. I've got to admit though, Nintendo has always positively surprised me, save for the year of the stupid "cammie presentation".
Who knows, last year sold me mario rabbids and I had a lot of fun with it.
@EvilLucario I actually don't think that your list is all that unrealistic, to be honest. The only two doubtful entries on it are Mother 3 and Xenogears, but other than that, it doesn't seem all that unlikely, so perhaps you'll get to see most of it.

@ThanosReXXX I'm still pinning for a Mother 3 localization because they've joked about it way back in E3 2014. They also joked about Star Fox and lo and behold, Star Fox Zero. I think Mother 3 will eventually come too.
Xenogears remaster/remake though? Yeah, not happening at all. Square Enix are idiots with terribly bloated development cycles. They can't even remake Final Fantasy VII in a timely manner and they're splitting that game into chapters. Xenogears being remade would require actually making MORE content because a ton of it was simply rushed out as the developers ran out of time. Final Fantasy VII is a complete game with little loose ends, and they're struggling with that game's development. God, how can Monolith Soft put out three huge RPGs in less time than it takes Final Fantasy XV to come out? Bah.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

If Garden Warfare 3 becomes a thing can we please get Battlefront away from it? It feels EA decided, "we don't want to reskin Battlefield for our reboot, even though that's what Battlefront was to start with, so why don't we take our most recent hit and reskin that instead?"
Both series are fun, but... why do it?
@EvilLucario Yeah... you wonder, sometimes, what a lot of these companies are actually on about. If only we could be a fly on the wall inside some of them, just to see what the heck they are doing and talking about... (I would have to get a degree in fluent Japanese first, but still)
I think it's probably fair to say Cyberpunk has been effectively confirmed. CD Projekt said last year they're only working on Witcher and Cyberpunk games. They then said they're bringing an RPG to E3 this year. So unless they're actually announcing another Witcher game, it's almost definitely Cyberpunk. Given the twitter account did its beep tweet a few months back, it's fairly obvious.
That'd be nice but I think basically no chance whatsoever. That's a game that's so visually dated it'd require an entire ground-up remake.
If they're gonna do that for a fairly big game, they're far more likely to do it for a game that is more well known and therefore likely to sell more. If Square Enix do another big remake after FF7, I think it'll probably be FF6. That's probably the 2nd most demanded from the audience.
@Dezzy And not only visually dated, but also has a LOT of missing content. Two Omnigears were completely missing from the game for Rico and Maria, Disc 2 speaks for itself, and some characters like Emperor Cain and the Gazel Ministry are only ever explained in Perfect Works.
If Square Enix can't even remake an already complete game like Final Fantasy VII, there's a snowball's chance in hell they can do the same for Xenogears.
Which is a damn shame, because Xenogears is the best PS1 RPG Squaresoft has ever made, even with the rushed Disc 2.

@NaviAndMii Since IGN can sometimes fail to take notice with their website, let me add that Rage 2, Starfield, Devil May Cry 5, and Resident Evil 2 Remake are all rumored for E3.
What do we make of Sony saying that they'll focus on just Spider-Man, Last of Us II, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding at E3 + 3rd party games and indies? Are they going to spend time on their now-typical Capcom announcement, Rocksteady's DC game, etc?
