@Tsurii Another possibility: it's 3 hours for everyone, but you reset your progress if you start a different character. Which, honestly, wouldn't be that different from just switching accounts.
I'm still not entirely sure how this game is structured: do you just start with one character and gradually discover all the rest of the content of the game, or do you have to play it eight times to see everything?
Screenshot from the highly anticipated yet unannounced Sim City Switch?
On another note: can we PLEEEEAAASEEE drop the discussion whether or not SMB is a port? It's tiring to skip-scan the same discussion for the 100+th time in 2 months...
So, the tree house smash coverage was remarkably lame. They mostly were just streaming themselves paying the game and laughing a lot work no substance it information at all. But the rest of it was decent whenever they actually showed other games. Still weird that overcooked got 2 sessions and most of the 3rd party aa and aaa content got zero.
@gcunit Nah, not expecting that until October/early November. I'm expecting a Nindies Showcase in August and then a general Nintendo Direct in September with a spotlight focus on Super Mario Party.
I expect that September Direct to be when we get our next newcomer reveal.
@gcunit@IceClimbers I think we'll see a Direct (normal or mini) before Octopath and Captain Toad launches. We know as much about the near future as we knew about the near future before the March Direct.
@Grumblevolcano With news that Panic Button are announcing the next Switch port next month, I am interested to know how it will get the reveal treatment. Will it be a simple news drop with trailer or will be in something bigger.

We seriously need release dates for so much still. I'll expect a Direct Mini in mid to late July to narrow down some windows at the least. That's probably when we'll see that Panic Button port as well.
@Dezzy Same. I like a lot of what I'm hearing about it from write-ups.
Hopefully we see some actual gameplay soon.
@NEStalgia It's annoying that we don't even know what single-player modes Smash U will have, even though we got this intricate run-down of balancing features in the E3 trailer.
As for Pikmin 4, unpopular opinion: I really think that Hey Pikmin was Pikmin 4. They never said loud and clear that there was a Pikmin 4 in development. May be another franchise down the drain.
and just to be sure he wasn't referring to Hey Pikmin, here he is, well after the reveal for the 3DS game, saying he's not really allowed to talk about P4
"I've been told not to share anything about this from PR," Miyamoto laughed, "but I can tell you it is progressing."
