It was meh. The new Mario doesn't look that exciting, to be honest (and pleeeaaassse no songs in Mario), Mario and Rabbids looks okay. The new Kirby looks like a 3DS game (wich it probably is), and not that special. GoodFeel working on a Wooly Yoshi yet again (not feeling it so far). New Xenoblade...now with downgraded graphics! At least there's a new Metroid coming. But why another Prime? No gameplay. Definitely not this year. Who is the developer? For all we know it may be a nonsense-game once again. They should have shown some footage and mention the developer to really rest our fears!

Yeah I know, announcements after the spotlight. But that can't be much apart from some 3DS things, maybe.

@FGPackers Doesn't matter, end result is the same. They even announced games with no trailer or release date. While, yes, I'm excited for Metroid, the announcement was a bit cheap. If you're announcing a game, better bring at least a teaser. Don't bring absolutely nothing. That's not how you ''win'' E3 in my book.

Anyhow, Mario Odyssey looks great, so I'll be playing that later this year for sure.

Yeah, Prime 4 and the Pokemon stuff was unnecessary. -.-

@Joeynator3000 It's a Catch-22. Because if they didn't say anything, people would complain about no Metroid and no Pokemon on Switch. They announce both, and people complain that they didn't see anything. Darned if you do, darned if you don't.

@Monado_X Might as well announce every future game. Pikmin 4 ''still in development''. I don't think it was a catch 22. Nobody expected Metroid. And with the recent Pokemon announcement, I certainly didn't expect any of the current gens to be ported to the Switch. Next gen? Of course that's a Switch game, but that game is also 1-2 years away. So it's not really a surprise. I don't think people would've complained about the lack of Metroid and Pokemon, because nobody reasonably expected them.

Nintendo E3 so much better this year then last 2 years
Kirby: Looks great
XC 2: Looks great
FE Warriors: Meh, it looks nice , also no Cam = no buy, jk, maybe
Odyssey: Hands down the winner of E3, phenomenal
Yoshi: Looks neat so far, never played Woolly World
Pokken: Meh, not crazy over it
Metroid Prime 4: FINALLY!!!

Only thing that it was missing was Smash port ;-; and Pikmin 4.

@Octane people would still complain. They always complain. Nintendo announces things; complaints. They don't announce things; complaints. Seriously. Look at the meltdown from last week.

I think nintendo was easily better than sony. Actually i only didnt like bethesda and sonys presentations. Still for a premade video it was lame. Much stuff to wait for but at least its good stuff. Xenoblade 2 still seems to be really generic anime stuff storywise. Maybe well even ascend to divinity this time. Hope they completely change the battle mechanics. Even the rotations of final fantasy 14 feel divine compared to xenoblades.

Metroid needs more than the logo to amaze me but it could be great. Kirby looks cute and i really like the vibe and look of the new yoshi. No way i couldnt feel at ease with that yoshi game.

Zelda was just sad. Well if this is the way nintendo wants to play ill be just waiting for the story or actual content amiboo.

Mario still looks to be one of the best games this year. I hope it will top sunshine. Looks good so far.

Also reggie telling me i can play the switch anywhere i want under palmtrees is just wrong (i know he is not really standing under palmtrees). Im sure if he actually turned that thing on hed see that his black screen just turned to a slightly more colorful black. Before handhelds become an option to me they first need to learn to not reflect the sun and have such vibrant colors i can see something. I feel like the only person that left his home with a switch to play outside. Seriously this is totally killing the handheld aspect to me. Seems like everyones flying planes nowadays.

All in all i think it was good gamewise. Now please return my left joy con before arms arrives nintendo.
Presentation and energywise ubisoft easily won so far.

@jump,

Its called "Heay Pikmin!" and is coming to 3DS instead.

And yeah, Metroid on 3DS. But its just a remake of Metroid 2, made by Mercury Steam. It has polygons and looks slow. Doesn't look that great to be honest. You are probably better of with the fan-remake called AM2R (wich is great by the way). Well, at least they are doing something. And at least its true that there is "new" stuff beyond the Spotlight.

@Monado_X Ergo it doesn't matter. In that case they're better off not saying anything until they can present a trailer.

I liked E3 overall this year. I didn't hate any of the presentations this year and I honestly did enjoy seeing a lot of it. The only ones I was a bit down on seeing was EA and Bethesda, but that was mostly because I wasn't really interested in what they were showing.

Good E3 overall, imo. A lot of games I'm looking forward to.

Nintendo knocked it out of the park, as far as I'm personally concerned. Sony & MS put on good shows too, but while there were a few games at each of their events I'd definitely play, none had me jumping out of my seat in excitement like every other Nintendo announcement did.

Super Mario Odyssey - The new trailer was most definitely the most exciting one this E3. Can't wait to see more.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle - Not my thing personally, but glad that it looks like it might turn out good.

Fire Emblem Warriors - I've always found the Samurai Warriors games to be good fun, so I imagine this will be as well (though, as I'm a bigger DQ fan than FE fan, if I get a Switch I'd probably opt for DQH1&2 if it gets localized).

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Looking pretty awesome, if I may say.

Rocket League - Haven't played it before, but it seems like the kind of popular evergreen title that'll be good for the system.

Yoshi - This game looks absolutely gorgeous, and if it's as good as I heard Wooly World is, it'll probably be a worthy addition to the lineup. Seems like the kind of game that'll fill up a spot in the release schedule in the first half of 2018 (I can see it getting a full title in a December/January direct).

Kirby - Much like the above. It doesn't look like it's massively reinventing the wheel, but I'm sure it'll be fun, and will probably be there to fill in an early 2018 spot.

Prime 4 - I haven't played a Prime game before (though I've played many of the 2D Metroids), but I found myself getting excited for those who've been wanting it.

Pokémon - Once again, like the above. Not big into it myself, but glad to hear it's coming for those who want it.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

They can't make any more Switch as Apple have stolen all the chips but on the bright side they've got tons of plastic to make amiibo!
