Ya MH really doesn't need to be reinvented. Millions of people like me are diehard fans of the game, as is. If it's not a persons flavor then it's not their flavor. Not every game has to appeal to every person.
They wanna do a spinoff from a different team, ok, but leave the steak and potatoes alone. My only concern is the crowd who wants everything to be big, flashy AAA open world games will eat it up and then we stop seeing localizations of the real deal cause they're too busy selling MH: western gamer edition to a bunch of people who have no appreciation for the masterpiece it already is
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
By the way, I am talking about main MH games (MHXX)...they won't be on PS4. And Monster Hunter 5 hasn't even been announced in Japan yet, and they always announce it in Japan first.
As for spinoffs or whatever you wanna call Frontier, don't really care for. Frontier isn't coming to the West, Capcom has said this countless times in the past. Online is questionable, I think it was going to but then decided to be China exclusive. This western MH, eh who cares. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
Personally I think Sony crushed it. I wasn't interested in everything they showed but they did everything right all the way down to the pacing. I'm kind of surprised the didn't show and shenmu or ff7.
And what was up with that final fantasy fishing vr game? lol
@Octane I was just kidding haha. Didn't know about it though.

I'll give Sony credit for cutting the PR bull and just showing stuff. But there are some major concerns. What's their big Holiday title? Their big hitters are all 2018. Also, I thought the pacing was poor. Too much VR, some of the demos ran long. And nothing really interested me. It was ok, 6.5/10.
@faint We knew about Shenmue, they gave an update last month saying they wouldn't be at E3. FF7... well, I have no idea how far along that game is, but the rumours weren't favourable towards the development of that game. I think it's going to take a while before we hear anything new from Square on FF7.
If we see Superstar Saga DX at the presentation tomorrow, I will already consider it great.

@Monado_X When was the last time Sony ever had a ''proper'' holiday game though? Last Guardian was December last year, but that was the only PS4 exclusive IIRC. Why compete against COD, Battlefront and Destiny when you can also release your games in January till September? I was hoping for Spider-Man this year, but oh well, I've got plenty of games to play. And Horizon DLC is coming this year, so I'm looking forward to that.
If, IF Metroid were somehow to show up tomorrow, along with Mario, I think Nintendo would "win" E3, even though I can't stand the whole dumb competition thing.
lots of games shown, nothing too shocking popped up though (bar Shadows of Colossus). But given how there was a high game, low bullpoo ratio, ill give it a 7.5...but too bad no Death Stranding or something crazy like Scalebound. ...watch it...-Joey
@Octane True, I'm fairly new to the whole PS ecosystem. Only got a PS4 last winter. I'm still used to Nintendo's method of doing things. However, games like Mario Odyssey will probably do well against COD and Battlefront because they're different than typical shooters. Is it too much to ask Sony to do something different for a holiday title? Just my thoughts.
I wish.. No idea what to expect from Nintendo though. 25 minutes is short, but it all depends on whether they skip ARMS, Splatoon and Mario+Rabbids or not.
