Microsoft convinced me again that theres no need to buy their console but thats a good thing. Mostly timed exclusive indies and the biggest games will run on a pc. Sea of thieves looks interesting but im still not convinced about the content. The games looked enjoyable and good though. Looking forward to ori.
Man bethesda was the first disappointing event to me besides the dishonored 2 dlc or whatever it was. After doom i dont think ill really enjoy a bethesda shooter anytime soon. Looks great and has great gore but the fun was missing. At least wolfenstein seems to have a story.
Not a single conference until now delivered the big blow. Between the 3 EA is the worst hands down, Microsoft coming right behind it. Bethesda did show some good things, but nothing mind blowing, even though portable Skyrim with motion controls is really exciting! If i have to say something that got my attention, and that i'm curious to see in future, is ONLY Anthem. This new Bioware IP can be really good if done properly, rest is ordinary
@FGPackers Yeah, I tend to agree - the bar hasn't been set particularly high as far as I'm concerned...I'm still hoping for something to properly grab me - but I must admit, my pessimism is growing by the day :/
I'm not expecting much from today - just hoping that Nintendo have a couple of decent surprises up their sleeves tomorrow...and that Sony give me a much-needed reason to dust off my PS4! **fingers crossed!**
I think thus far for me its all been pretty tame. Now i hate to tempt fate taking into consideration Nintendo's awful track history of recent years.....but they could really shake things up here. Please please drop the Metroid bomb and watch the world lose its mind.
For the past couple of years everyone has said this is it, Nintendo has gotta go big this year or go home. I feel that this has neber been truer than with this year. The Switch is going great, there are good games emerging on close horizons but they just need to completely wow the world with soemthing secret and special.
And we're getting it in September. Damn, I guess we will have waited for that game about as long as we waited for Breath of the Wild. I remember being super hyped about it when it was first revealed. Now? eh, not so much.
As a side note I found out that the AU RRP for the X is $650AU. Which is pretty high obviously but all things considered not that bad. As someone with a gaming PC it really doesn't make much sense. I could spend $100-200 less than that and upgrade my GPU to something better than the X like a 1070 or 580. But if you're starting from nothing? It's not a bad value and it's a pretty impressive box for the size. Especially with 4K TVs starting to gain some more traction.
I guess it's a shame that nobody will care because of the current PS4/Switch dominance.

Any thoughts on AC: Origins? I'm excited for the setting, loling over the ACTUAL Eagle Vision but as a fan of the story that the first game tried to put out (and Juno as a villain...I feel bad for her really) and the fact that AC has sorta forgotten where they are going with that I'm not sure if it is a day one buy from me. We all know it will be in the barging bin in two months after everyone buys it, beats it and trades it in.

Considering the number of games coming to the 3DS before the end of the year, it's not surprising they'll show lots of it throughout E3 during Treehouse.
Nice to have confirmation of rapid fire, to the point reveals in Spotlight, with more news during the first hour of Treehouse Live
@Ralizah If you include ALL of them I think Origins will make 19. Mainline is like 11(I include liberation since it got a HD release)... I think. I didn't like IV so I started to fall off the bandwagon around then. (Yeah I'm always opposite the mainstream...not trying to be hipster though.)

@Ryu_Niiyama@Tsurii That's unbelievable! Especially considering the series only started last gen.
No wonder people complain about half of these games not even working well when they release. They must be manufacturing these games non-stop, like the video game equivalent of Harlequin romance novels or something.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah yeah it got really bad after 4 took off. Although I was white knuckling the Ezio series. That dragged on too long and I only liked Revelations since I prefer Altair to Ezio. I enjoyed Connor but by III the series had gone into expanded universe territory (which I hate. I bought the video game I don't want to play the ios spin off or read the poorly written book. I don't care if you have to put a xenosaga size codex in the game...but keep it in the game) and they effectively killed the modern era plot(or at least wrote themselves into a corner) which ties the games together (even if you aren't a fan without it it just becomes historic murder simulator 15) AND unity was a glitch fest so people started bailing. Even the ACIV diehards.
@Tsurii yeah they kinda tried to ride that wave a little too hard. Think the surfboard broke in half a while back.

I'm going to need time to process BG&E 2. Not feeling the prequel angle....Jade was special for a specific reason (aside from being cool but the story angle I mean). I'm not saying no but my hype died out a bit.

I liked this conference a lot more than i thought i would. I'm still on the fence with Mario x Rabbids but i'll take a look when reviews come out. Skull and Bones already looked pretty great then there was a Kraken and it got ten times better. That toys-to-life space battle game looked cool, and it's heartening to see emphasis on the switch (Though it would be more heartening if the more mainstream titles were on it). Farcry 5 looked cool. Assassain's Creed looks eh... but I've never really been a fan anyway. And I'm really excited that they showed off Beyond Good and Evil 2 but my god F bombs get cringy when you have that many in a short trailer. Like who are you trying to impress?
