3DS or PS3 - General Discussion Forum

I've been thinking of getting a PS3 for a long time, but now I'm tempted to get a 3DS. On the one hand, the 3DS is cheaper, it's newer, and it's a handheld, which I'm a big fan of. Unfortunately, there aren't many games for the 3DS that I want, but it would give me access to DSiWare. However, I'm not sure how the 3D gimmick will hold up, seeing as I ended up not liking the Wii's motion controls and the DS' touch screen, both of which seemed far more significant. On the other hand, there's the PS3, which costs a bit more, has been around for so long for all we know it's on its way out, and is a very traditional system. I'm not as big a fan of console gaming, and I am running out of room to put a new console, meaning I'll probably have to put a console back in storage. As far as games go, there aren't many for the PS3 that I want, only about 20 at the most, but that's still far greater than the 3DS which there are only about 6 or 7 games that interest me. Plus I'll be able to play my 40+ PSOne classics on my TV with a proper controller. It'll also make for a good Blu-Ray Player, which I could really use. So there's my connundrum. Anybody have any advice?

Okay, I decided I'll wait a little on both of them, since I'd currently have no money left over to get games, but I'll try to get the PS3 first then save up for a 3DS.
