Topic: 3DS or PS3

Just get a 3DS. I mean 3DS's have something we've never seen before, and a PS3, sure its awesome, but we've kinda seen that stuff before.

Why not both? I do.

I'm not made of money. I only got enough for one.

Then 3DS because it's getting MGS3D,Resident Evil Mercinaries and Revelations, Super Mario, Mario Kart, Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing, PROFESSOR LAYTON VS. PHOENIX WRIGHT, Kingdom hearts, Paper Mario, Star Fox 3D, Dead or Alive, just to name a few.

And OOT 3D

Well, if money isn't a problem, then I'd go for the PS3. But keep in mind that a PS3 is $300 games are $60 each while 3DS games are half that price. I'd check out a nearest Best Buy to see what you think of the 3D effect.

Or you can save your money, and get both at the same time.

And? Is that a reason to get one over the other?

Idk, my fanboyism aside, the 3DS doesn't have much to offer you right now, but has a few enjoyable launch titles. PS3 probably will have what you want, when you want it, and you'll have to wait a bit for the 3DS to get 3D movies, eShop, and more games. It all comes down if you'd want to wait a bit or not.

I'm currently more excited about the future of the 3DS, but the current state of things is obviously more fun on the PS3. 250$ vs 300$ isn't too much of a difference either... if it's a matter of buying one now and buying the other later this year, then I'd get the PS3 first. If it's a matter of only buying 1 period then I'd personally want the 3DS b/c of everything coming later this year. But bluray and final fantasy and ratchet & clank and littlebigplanet and trophies have a big pull on me as well...

I'd go with the PS3.

It's just a more rounded console that does more things. Movies, music, games, and not on a tiny screen. The digital download platform is truly awesome and almost guaranteed to be better than whatever Nintendo comes up with (they're that far behind Sony there).

And if you're worried about space, for obvious reasons digital downloads > retail.

You'll also find that, beyond your list, there are a heap of PS3 games that fly under the radar, but are actually hugely enjoyable when you see them cheap and get into them. Darksiders, for instance. Or stuff like Costume Quest on PSN. Those hidden 'gems' will not start arriving on the 3DS for some time to come.

I would get 3ds Because Nintendo is my fav and the system is 3d. Need i say more But if i had the money i would defiantly get both. My favorite game is for a system i dont even have. ps3 has my favorite game Little Big Planet. urrrrrg i Want them both

Though I find both great systems, I say get the PS3. IMO, it has the biggest quantity(though not necessarily quality) of great titles in different genres for this gaming gen. The PSN store has many great games(including ps1 classics) that I'd definitely recommend. If your not into gaming on the PS3 _{which I doubt} , it plays bluray, music, etc. Thats not to say the 3DS is inferior or anything, but it is still a new system and not much games are out for it yet. The 3DS will be as great as any great system, I know it will, but just like most new systems, it will need more time for great software to be released for it. If you were to choose now, get the PS3 since alot of content is available now and the price is already reasonable. As for the 3DS, just wait for the inevitable revision, by that time, you would have saved enough money for that and more must have titles would be available.

Who says the PS3 is on its way out? That's just laughable. They just implemented Sony Move, too. This generation seems like it's going to be a lot longer than previous console generations have been.

This is purely speculation of my own, but just to note, the PS3 is probably soon coming to an end. I'm sure a new Sony home console or innovation is going to be in the works soon.

I'd honestly say 3DS. It's fresh and new. It has loads of great things ahead of it. You just have to wait about 2 to 3 months for some good stuff, and maybe by autumn, it'll be jam-packed. Even without games, it has lots preloaded for you. And you can have it all on the go.

But of course, you could use that time period to buy a PS3, and over the course of time, save up enough for a 3DS by the end of the year, when loads more titles will be out. I don't really hype over all the features of it, but you know what you'll get out of it.

That's a hard choice that I was faced with earlier this year. Obviously my Nintendo fanboy-ism won out, judging by my avatar.

I feel like the PS3 is going to see a price drop sooner or later, as soon as this year even. However, I'm big on hardware launches and as there was no price cut before the 3DS came out I went with that. The PS3 has been around for a while, so imo don't get it until there's a really good deal. That said, I doubt you would enjoy a 3DS in its infancy.

Tough call. You don't seem to love Nintendo very much and the PS3 has some very amazing games, but I don't think it's worth $300 (as the 3DS isn't worth $250, but it has Nintendo games).

PS3 just for Demon's Souls. Once it's released you could get The Last Guardian which I have no doubt will be amazing. Ratchet & Clank Future is good too, and I assume that anyone who likes Link to the Past would love 3D Dot Game Heroes. 3DS can wait. Uncharted 3 is rumored as well. :3

My heart tells you 3DS, but my head says PS3. For someone who plays a lot of games, which I think you do, the PS3 is truly awesome. It's library of games is so good that it'll keep you busy for ages, plus you can pick up a lot of the very best games pretty cheap. The 3DS is great, but there just is not enough there to keep you busy. On the other hand, it is Nintendo, and that gaurantees you plenty of quality to come and in many ways its simply more fun to own a 3DS. Tough call!
