Messing around with an idea and was wanting to get some feedback from the Nintendo Community. When you're exchanging Friend Codes do you prefer to do add people based on the games you play or are you just wanting the friend code?

I tend to add people based on what MP games they play.
In fairness I don't bother adding as many people on Switch because the lack of voicechat and messaging makes sorting out MP games much more laborious than it needs to be to.

@UTXGamer I only wanted friends playing the same games as me, and my 3 real life friends(who never seem to want to play the game I want to play). Like MRr-Fuggles777 says, without a message system to coordinate, having Switch friends hasn't had much benefit for me. I have 30+ friends, and if you don't know them in real life, it seems your schedule & game preferences, almost never mesh with theirs. With Splatoon 2 and Rocket League, friends are never playing the mode I want to play. And I can't even see what mode friends are playing in Splatoon. They could be playing single player for all I know.

I stopped adding people. A few are from here, but they don't play the games I play, and I mainly kept the friends I have so I can see what games people playing. That's about it.

EDIT: I used to have my friend code in my signature. And it said, "say hi, if you add me", so I could know who I'm friends with here, and only one person said "hi "here. haha. And like 15 people added me, and I have no idea who they are. I deleted most of those. The friends I do have are people I meshed with in games, but afterwards ,our game picks, or modes, schedules, they mostly never mesh up again.
