Topic: New "Meet the Game Developers" subforum?

Hello,

I just recently registered on this forum. I'm an indie game developer. It looks like I got into trouble by promoting my game in the 3DS eShop subforum. I'm sorry about this. I didn't research the rules of this forum before posting.

I have to ask you this though : Would it be possible to start a new "Meet the Game Developers" subforum here where promoting new and upcoming Nintendo game titles would be acceptable?

Is the "no advertising" rule a general policy here that can't be changed?

You're best channel regarding the advertising rule would be through the Contact button in the red banner below. You'll probably get @antdickens. He's good people. He may answer here, since I tagged him.

Hi @Tenzen1978

I'm trying to download the game but the eShop is crashing when I select it...

Any ideas?

Thanks

@WoomyNNYes I was actually a bit confused where exactly I was supposed to contact the people in charge. I'll write to them today. Thanks for the advice!

This is of course off topic here but my game's thread is currently locked so I'll have to answer here.

It's very unusual that the Nintendo eShop would crash like that. Try the following things :

1. Power off your Nintendo 3DS console and restart it after waiting for a moment.

2. Check if your console's firmware is properly updated. Go to System Settings in the HOME Menu > Other Settings > System Update. Update the console if possible. Remember to plug in the console's AC adapter before updating! Try downloading the game again.

3. Do you have many games installed on your console? Check if the SD Card on your console is full. Go to System Settings > Data Management > Nintendo 3DS > Software. You should see how many blocks of free space are available. My game requires 463 blocks of space. Remove other games from the SD Card to free enough space to download it.

4. Contact Nintendo's customer support. I'm sure that they can help you.

Let me know if this helped you.

@Tenzen1978 There are 2 options. If your game is already published you can just make a thread about it in the 3DS section of the forums (only in that forum).

The other option is to use the contact form and ask if you can create it anywhere else.

I contacted the team that way if I can make a thread about the game I am currently developing in the Other Gaming forum.

As long as you do not want to openly monetize on this site it is ok BUT always ask for permission and if it is given to you tag the person who gave you the permission in the first post of the new thread!

It’s a thing if a random person comes and creates a thread for the game, it just becomes complicated when the person creating the thread is the person selling it.

In those cases it’s better to ask for permission first.

@Eel I just wrote a message to you with the contact form. I hope that we can resolve this situation.

Hi!

So I tried 1, 2 and 3...and it is still crashing.
I'll write an email to Nintendo and I'll let you know their answer.

Thanks!

So I just finished a phone call with Nintendo Support.

They have no idea what is happening

Their only reply was to wait till the European release date and see if that fixes the eShop issue.

Is there any email to send you the video I recorded?
